The Power of Language Essay examples
The Power of Language Language plays an important role in communication by bringing people
together and enriching their relationships. Language can also alienate those who do not speak it
properly, or at all, from those who do. The essays, Mother Tongue, by Amy Tan, best known for
her book, The Joy Luck Club, and Se Habla Espanol, by Tanya Barrientos, delve into the many
powers that language holds. These essays reflect how by not speaking a language in proper form
and by not speaking a language at all, affects the lives of the subjects of the stories. People who can
speak a certain language, but only in 'broken' form, are generally looked down upon by native
language speakers. In her writing, Mother Tongue, Amy Tan writes about her

However, many Hispanic families were and in some cases, still are viewed as lower–class citizens.
According to Barrientos, "To me, speaking Spanish translated into being poor. It meant waiting
tables and cleaning hotel rooms. It meant being left off the cheerleading squad and receiving a
condescending smile from the guidance counselor when you said you planned on becoming a
lawyer or a doctor" (561). They are not respected in a lot of communities, they live dirty, and they
have bad jobs. These stereotypes are reasons why Barrientos did not want to be called Mexican
and never wanted to learn Spanish. If diversity had been celebrated when Barrientos was a child,
as it is celebrated and honored now, she would have grown up speaking Spanish and being proud of
her heritage. Children are very impressionable and tend to take on others' opinions as their own, but
as they grow older, they develop a greater understanding and perspective of the way things are and
the way they should be. As adults, both Tan and Barrientos learned to accept and embrace the
languages that previously embarrassed them. Barrientos immersed herself in her Mexican heritage
and enrolled in many Spanish classes. With each enrollment, she faced yet another stereotype that
came with being of Mexican ethnicity; her instructors thought she should already know Spanish
since she was Latina. Barrientos is now determined to learn her native language. Tan has learned to

Australian Identity Essay
Australian Identity
Mateship. Adventurous. Loyal. Free. Proud. These are the typical words Australians use to
describe themselves, to identify themselves as different from the rest of the world. But who is an
Australian? Someone that was born in Australia? Only people we choose to call Australian? People
with great achievements that we choose to take credit for? Only people that love sport and
vegemite? Or maybe only people with 'Aussie' accents? The Australian population is a proud one
indeed, proud of their nation, their achievements and their own independent way of life, but
sometimes us Aussies, forget about the rest of the world and all those other people that make us,
who we are.
The poem, Australia by Ania Walwicz, is told...show more content...
In this particular poem we understand through the persona's tone, that they do not like Australia or
the people and are therefore making a judgement of, and being of a negative opinion towards, the
nation. The text begins with "You big ugly." This is instantly causing proud Australians to take
offence towards the poem, we know it is about Australia because of the title. The poem continues
with lines such as "you bore me. Freckle silly children... you nothing much... you're ugly... you
copy...you big awful..." all against Australia.
The poems by Komninos and Langley also use tone to relay the persona's attitude. In Komninos'
poem, the persona, who happens to be the poet, is fed up of being treated differently by Australians
because of his heritage and is using the poem to "assert" himself "as an Australian... as an artist." In
Langley's poem, the Australian persona relays a positive view of Australia, representing Australians
as compassionate, educated and respectful whilst relaying an unfavourable opinion of immigrants,
portraying them as self–absorbed and "god–like" in an unnatural, unfitting sense. Tone is helped to
represent Australian identity by the use of a persona and the use of language in the text.
Having a persona in a poem, allows the writer to relay what they want to say through a characters
actions or thoughts. The use of a persona is quite strong in each of the three texts. In Australia the
persona,

The Power of Storytelling Essay examples
Story telling is a uniquely human attribute. It is an imaginative process between the composer and
responder that invites us, as the audience to engage vicariously with the experience of others. Stories
or narratives have been shared in all culture as a mean of education, entertainment and also to notify
the audience of the values and belief systems of our culture. The texts of 'Through the tunnel' and
'Green tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe' conspicuously highlight the ability of storytelling to
empower the individual and outline storytelling as a device to inform us of values and people's
transmission is able to transcend time. The power of storytelling can create connections between
people and allow individuals to find their inner...show more content...
Even though, jerry wants to be accepted and in control of his life, the harsh reality is Jerry's identity
wants to be with his mother. Further throughout the story the tunnel is shown as the symbol of the
story; letting the reader know that Jerry senses that it is the door to his identity. Additionally, the
chronological structure is effective throughout the story in showing the process of growing up and
an insight into Jerry's transformation. Moreover, the 3rd person omniscient narrator and formal
register presents the character of Jerry and his mother in a distanced way and without a biased
perspective. This suggests the sense of detachment and alienation that Jerry is starting to feel from
his mother as he is growing up and wanting to make his own choices. The story is firstly introduced
with a description of the mother carrying a bright striped purse. It was this and other uses of
describing Jerry's surroundings with the use of bright colours symbolising jerry's childish world and
thoughts. In addition, the thought of jerry's childish thoughts shows his struggle to establish his own
identity. The author writes that Jerry goes swimming "over a region where rocks lay like
discoloured monsters under the surface". The simile shows that even though Jerry wants to be
independent and swim alone in the bay, he's terrified of being alone in the water and not seeing his
mother again. Briefly, Jerry learns that you cannot

Argumentative Essay Quotes
Cabute, Jeanette Anne H.
BSIE–HE 4A
Quotation:
1."Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new
ending." –Maria Robinson
Explanation: Our lives are full of ups and downs. Often we get so caught up with the downs in our
lives that we fall into depression. We feel that everything in life is falling apart. You regret the
choices you've made in the past and feel that you have failed in life. Understand that you cannot go
back in time and undo choices you've made but that you can stop yourself from repeating the past by
making smarter decisions so that you can have a better future.
Reaction: Yes, our life is full of up and downs. We also cannot change the past, but we can make
better things or choices...show more content...
If we try new things we're going to make a few mistakes but we are learning from that mistake. If
you don't make any mistakes, you're in a rut and not trying anything new. Mistakes are part of our
lives, we cannot change it, and we just have to take the risk. Nothing is impossible if we try new
things and nothing will lose if you try right.
4."The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." –Blaise Pascal
Explanation: The heart, the organ capable of storing love can also reason. Its reasoning makes all
the sense in the world to the heart and to the heart's owner when the owner first hears it. It's the
reasoning that makes you fall in love at first sight. It's the reasoning that somehow makes it so hard
to let somebody go even though you have no logical reason to want that person to stay.
Reaction: The quote means that you have to listen to your heart. Just like in love, you just only
knew that you love that person but you don't know why. We fall in love in a mutual weirdness and
called it love.
5."When love is not madness it is not love." –Pedro CalderГіn de la Barca
Explanation: The actual quote is when love is not madness, it is not love, and it is by Pedro
Calderon. Love in its self is madness. Love brings to life so many different emotions that it is like a

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests
and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some
factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture
may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and
sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a
person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set
individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content...
Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'
is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of
adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very
strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that,
although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will
not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a
person's identity. I have not had too many educational

Mice and Men Persuasive Essay
Of Mice and Men persuasive essay
Death, the one thing every person will eventually face, could be seen as an end or an entrance.
What is your extent of a friendship? How far are you willing to go to help the person you care for?
For many reasons, the majority of people think murder is immoral–especially if it was your own best
friend. But sometimes we may have to go to the extreme, as long as we know it was the right thing
to do from the heart because that's how much you know you care. In the story Of Mice and Men by
John Steinbeck, I strongly believe that George was right to kill Lennie.
We can all argue back and forth whether George killing Lennie was wrong or not. But the fact of the
matter is–there was no escape. George heard "a...show more content...
George and Lennie were best friends for a long time, more like brothers. Lennie is about as bright
as a 2 watt bulb, so George couldn't really get mad at him when he accidently killed Curley's wife
while feeling the softness of her hair. "...'I ain't mad. I never been mad, an' I ain't now. That's a thing
I want ya to know'". The two had planned a future together–a future in their own dream ranch, a
ranch where no trouble would ever bother them. "'You...an' me. Ever'body gonna be nice to you.
Ain't gonna be no more trouble. Nobody gonna hurt nobody nor steal from 'em'". Then after he
tells him about the rabbits that Lennie is so fond of, he shoots him in the back of the head where
he knows it will not hurt him, and Lennie will not know what hit him. This is the peaceful
alternative to what Curley had in store for him. Curley's exact words were "shoot the bastard right
in the guts." George's euthanizing of Lennie makes the mentally incompetent Lennie die with
dignity. Had Curley gotten to Lennie first, Lennie would have suffered. This shows you how
much George cares for Lennie, no matter what he does or the crimes he commits. He'd always be
there to help Lennie get right back up to his feet, make him forget all his worries, and move on like
nothing happened. I strongly believe George was the right person to kill Lennie, and made the right
decision in doing so, rather than to let him suffer in the hands of Curley.
So do I think George was right for

Ocean Descriptive Essay
I stand at the edge where two worlds collide. The oceans exude power and confindence yet its are
the connector to everyone. Here at the ocean, your peace can be found in the middle of this chaotic
world. This is where people can lose themselves in the beauty, tranquility and the uncontrollable
power of the ocean.
I stand on the edge looking forward the ocean seems endless. Some people believe at the horizon
there is nothing just a place where the moon, star and the sun hide until they shall return.
Scrunching my toes into the damp sand from the high tide. The sand is like rough sandpaper on
my bare feet. Whispers of the warm sea breeze as it skips over the lulling waves. The breeze
carries the salty aroma that swirls in my nose leaving a feeling of tranquility and safety. Listening
to the thundering raspy echo's of the waves as they churn crumbling into whitewash chaos
deafening my ears to whatever else is around me. The squawking of the protectors of the ocean as
they circle above, master of catching the upward sea breeze drafts. Watching the waves draw in a
breath of air and sighing deeply gradually crawling along each grain of sand stretching itself out thin
to reach my feet. The ocean breathes in again as the thin layer of water returns into the depths of the
unknown.
The sun slowly simmers down into the horizon. The ocean reflecting a amber orange painting on its
mesmerizing turquoise canvas. The warmth of the air is replaced by chills. The light salt–water laps

Ambition Essay
Ambition
Before I could really start to write about ambition, I had to ask myself what ambition really was.
What causes people to be ambitious, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of being an
ambitious person? At first, I must admit it was fairly difficult to comprehend. But I found it to all
come together when I related it to another kind of person or group of people – dreamers.
When I think of ambitious people I think of dreamers. These are the people with hopes of one day
conquering and ruling the world single handedly, and having everything work out just the way they
want it to. I also feel that an ambitious person is a confident one. And because of this, they feel there
is nothing they cannot accomplish....show more content...
And in order to dream as large, one would have to be ambitious. I then asked my mother a similar
question, but found a great difference not only in the period of time it took for a response, but in
the answer as well. Her answer was more realistic, almost as if she knew her limitations and her
options, and her dreams had both narrowed. This helped me to understand that high ambitions lie in
the youth of the world. And although adults may be ambitious at heart, their minds help them decide
what is and is not realistic.
Through my experiences in dealing with ambitious people (and being one myself) I found that
ambition may cause certain amounts of unnecessary stress. It may even cause you to forget about
the things that hold great importance in your life. An ambitious person tends to only see his or
her objective, and anything that gets in the way of progress is either ignores or looked at as an
advantage. This in return may cause people to dislike you, not because they want to see you fail,
but instead want you to realize that they have to have ambitions and dreams. And from time to
time, they desire some kind of acknowledgement for their goals that they hope to one day
accomplish. Some people may see this as a form of jealousy, but I see it as being human. We all
want things that we do not have, so why should ambitions be any different?
Therefore, ambition can be perceived in many different

The sport with the Midas touch
Will football one day be played with balls made from gold? At its current rate, anything could
happen, but it would have to have a few brand logos stapled to it first.
Advertising is a huge part of today's society and today, we are engulfed by a cosmetic world of
advertising, playing with our opinions like a child with their toys on Christmas; they can make us
think how they want us to think. Now this world has taken over the Beautiful Game too and it's
going full speed to the centre of it. In stadiums, advertising boards surround the pitch, using bright
animations to get crowd's attention; while on TV screens, companies have huge sponsorships with
the major competitions like major bank Barclays partnership with England's Premier League that
lasted fifteen years up until the current season. Naming rights, like the Emirates F.A Cup, a historic
100–year–old trophy, now named after an Asian airline company create this image of history being
taken over by commercialism, a metaphor for the new football.
Stadiums to Parks; Arenas to Lanes; Coliseums to Fields. A football team is associated with their
home. It's where the fans pile in week in week out, friends and families alike. It's where they live
their Saturday afternoons and where they worship their heroes on the pitch. It's a social hub and a
sanctuary. But where is the Kia nightclub or the Betfred Mosque. With almost half the stadiums in the

Children are very impressionable and tend to take on others' opinions as their own, but as they grow older, they develop a greater understanding and perspective of the way things are and the way they should be. As adults, both Tan and Barrientos learned to accept and embrace the languages that previously embarrassed them. Barrientos immersed herself in her Mexican heritage and enrolled in many Spanish classes. With each enrollment, she faced yet another stereotype that came with being of Mexican ethnicity; her instructors thought she should already know Spanish since she was Latina. Barrientos is now determined to learn her native language. Tan has learned to love the way in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Australian Identity Essay Australian Identity Mateship. Adventurous. Loyal. Free. Proud. These are the typical words Australians use to describe themselves, to identify themselves as different from the rest of the world. But who is an Australian? Someone that was born in Australia? Only people we choose to call Australian? People with great achievements that we choose to take credit for? Only people that love sport and vegemite? Or maybe only people with 'Aussie' accents? The Australian population is a proud one indeed, proud of their nation, their achievements and their own independent way of life, but sometimes us Aussies, forget about the rest of the world and all those other people that make us, who we are. The poem, Australia by Ania Walwicz, is told...show more content... In this particular poem we understand through the persona's tone, that they do not like Australia or the people and are therefore making a judgement of, and being of a negative opinion towards, the nation. The text begins with "You big ugly." This is instantly causing proud Australians to take offence towards the poem, we know it is about Australia because of the title. The poem continues with lines such as "you bore me. Freckle silly children... you nothing much... you're ugly... you copy...you big awful..." all against Australia. The poems by Komninos and Langley also use tone to relay the persona's attitude. In Komninos' poem, the persona, who happens to be the poet, is fed up of being treated differently by Australians because of his heritage and is using the poem to "assert" himself "as an Australian... as an artist." In Langley's poem, the Australian persona relays a positive view of Australia, representing Australians as compassionate, educated and respectful whilst relaying an unfavourable opinion of immigrants, portraying them as self–absorbed and "god–like" in an unnatural, unfitting sense. Tone is helped to represent Australian identity by the use of a persona and the use of language in the text. Having a persona in a poem, allows the writer to relay what they want to say through a characters actions or thoughts. The use of a persona is quite strong in each of the three texts. • 3. The Power of Storytelling Essay examples Story telling is a uniquely human attribute. It is an imaginative process between the composer and responder that invites us, as the audience to engage vicariously with the experience of others. Stories or narratives have been shared in all culture as a mean of education, entertainment and also to notify the audience of the values and belief systems of our culture. The texts of 'Through the tunnel' and 'Green tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe' conspicuously highlight the ability of storytelling to empower the individual and outline storytelling as a device to inform us of values and people's transmission is able to transcend time. The power of storytelling can create connections between people and allow individuals to find their inner...show more content... Even though, jerry wants to be accepted and in control of his life, the harsh reality is Jerry's identity wants to be with his mother. Further throughout the story the tunnel is shown as the symbol of the story; letting the reader know that Jerry senses that it is the door to his identity. Additionally, the chronological structure is effective throughout the story in showing the process of growing up and an insight into Jerry's transformation. Moreover, the 3rd person omniscient narrator and formal register presents the character of Jerry and his mother in a distanced way and without a biased perspective. This suggests the sense of detachment and alienation that Jerry is starting to feel from his mother as he is growing up and wanting to make his own choices. The story is firstly introduced with a description of the mother carrying a bright striped purse. It was this and other uses of describing Jerry's surroundings with the use of bright colours symbolising jerry's childish world and thoughts. In addition, the thought of jerry's childish thoughts shows his struggle to establish his own identity. The author writes that Jerry goes swimming "over a region where rocks lay like discoloured monsters under the surface". The simile shows that even though Jerry wants to be independent and swim alone in the bay, he's terrified of being alone in the water and not seeing his mother again. Briefly, Jerry learns that you cannot Get more content on HelpWriting.net

BSIE–HE 4A Quotation: 1."Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." –Maria Robinson Explanation: Our lives are full of ups and downs. Often we get so caught up with the downs in our lives that we fall into depression. We feel that everything in life is falling apart. You regret the choices you've made in the past and feel that you have failed in life. Understand that you cannot go back in time and undo choices you've made but that you can stop yourself from repeating the past by making smarter decisions so that you can have a better future. Nothing is impossible if we try new things and nothing will lose if you try right. 4."The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." –Blaise Pascal Explanation: The heart, the organ capable of storing love can also reason. Its reasoning makes all the sense in the world to the heart and to the heart's owner when the owner first hears it. It's the reasoning that makes you fall in love at first sight. It's the reasoning that somehow makes it so hard to let somebody go even though you have no logical reason to want that person to stay. Reaction: The quote means that you have to listen to your heart. Just like in love, you just only knew that you love that person but you don't know why. We fall in love in a mutual weirdness and called it love. 5."When love is not madness it is not love." –Pedro CalderГіn de la Barca Explanation: The actual quote is when love is not madness, it is not love, and it is by Pedro Calderon. • 5. My Personal Identity Essay A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content... Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Mice and Men Persuasive Essay Of Mice and Men persuasive essay Death, the one thing every person will eventually face, could be seen as an end or an entrance. What is your extent of a friendship? How far are you willing to go to help the person you care for? For many reasons, the majority of people think murder is immoral–especially if it was your own best friend. But sometimes we may have to go to the extreme, as long as we know it was the right thing to do from the heart because that's how much you know you care. In the story Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, I strongly believe that George was right to kill Lennie. We can all argue back and forth whether George killing Lennie was wrong or not. But the fact of the matter is–there was no escape. George heard "a...show more content... George and Lennie were best friends for a long time, more like brothers. Lennie is about as bright as a 2 watt bulb, so George couldn't really get mad at him when he accidently killed Curley's wife while feeling the softness of her hair. "...'I ain't mad. I never been mad, an' I ain't now. That's a thing I want ya to know'". The two had planned a future together–a future in their own dream ranch, a ranch where no trouble would ever bother them. "'You...an' me. Ever'body gonna be nice to you. Ain't gonna be no more trouble. Nobody gonna hurt nobody nor steal from 'em'". Then after he tells him about the rabbits that Lennie is so fond of, he shoots him in the back of the head where he knows it will not hurt him, and Lennie will not know what hit him. This is the peaceful alternative to what Curley had in store for him. Curley's exact words were "shoot the bastard right in the guts." George's euthanizing of Lennie makes the mentally incompetent Lennie die with dignity. Had Curley gotten to Lennie first, Lennie would have suffered. This shows you how much George cares for Lennie, no matter what he does or the crimes he commits. He'd always be there to help Lennie get right back up to his feet, make him forget all his worries, and move on like nothing happened. I strongly believe George was the right person to kill Lennie, and made the right decision in doing so, rather than to let him suffer in the hands of Curley. So do I think George was right for Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Here at the ocean, your peace can be found in the middle of this chaotic world. This is where people can lose themselves in the beauty, tranquility and the uncontrollable power of the ocean. I stand on the edge looking forward the ocean seems endless. Some people believe at the horizon there is nothing just a place where the moon, star and the sun hide until they shall return. Scrunching my toes into the damp sand from the high tide. The sand is like rough sandpaper on my bare feet. Whispers of the warm sea breeze as it skips over the lulling waves. The breeze carries the salty aroma that swirls in my nose leaving a feeling of tranquility and safety. Listening to the thundering raspy echo's of the waves as they churn crumbling into whitewash chaos deafening my ears to whatever else is around me. The squawking of the protectors of the ocean as they circle above, master of catching the upward sea breeze drafts. Watching the waves draw in a breath of air and sighing deeply gradually crawling along each grain of sand stretching itself out thin to reach my feet. The ocean breathes in again as the thin layer of water returns into the depths of the unknown. The sun slowly simmers down into the horizon. The ocean reflecting a amber orange painting on its mesmerizing turquoise canvas. The warmth of the air is replaced by chills. • 10. Ambition Essay Ambition Before I could really start to write about ambition, I had to ask myself what ambition really was. What causes people to be ambitious, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of being an ambitious person? At first, I must admit it was fairly difficult to comprehend. But I found it to all come together when I related it to another kind of person or group of people – dreamers. When I think of ambitious people I think of dreamers. These are the people with hopes of one day conquering and ruling the world single handedly, and having everything work out just the way they want it to. I also feel that an ambitious person is a confident one. And because of this, they feel there is nothing they cannot accomplish....show more content... And in order to dream as large, one would have to be ambitious. I then asked my mother a similar question, but found a great difference not only in the period of time it took for a response, but in the answer as well. Her answer was more realistic, almost as if she knew her limitations and her options, and her dreams had both narrowed. This helped me to understand that high ambitions lie in the youth of the world. And although adults may be ambitious at heart, their minds help them decide what is and is not realistic. Through my experiences in dealing with ambitious people (and being one myself) I found that ambition may cause certain amounts of unnecessary stress. It may even cause you to forget about the things that hold great importance in your life. An ambitious person tends to only see his or her objective, and anything that gets in the way of progress is either ignores or looked at as an advantage. This in return may cause people to dislike you, not because they want to see you fail, but instead want you to realize that they have to have ambitions and dreams. And from time to time, they desire some kind of acknowledgement for their goals that they hope to one day accomplish. Some people may see this as a form of jealousy, but I see it as being human. We all want things that we do not have, so why should ambitions be any different? Therefore, ambition can be perceived in many different Get more content on HelpWriting.net

At its current rate, anything could happen, but it would have to have a few brand logos stapled to it first. Advertising is a huge part of today's society and today, we are engulfed by a cosmetic world of advertising, playing with our opinions like a child with their toys on Christmas; they can make us think how they want us to think. Now this world has taken over the Beautiful Game too and it's going full speed to the centre of it. In stadiums, advertising boards surround the pitch, using bright animations to get crowd's attention; while on TV screens, companies have huge sponsorships with the major competitions like major bank Barclays partnership with England's Premier League that lasted fifteen years up until the current season. Naming rights, like the Emirates F.A Cup, a historic 100–year–old trophy, now named after an Asian airline company create this image of history being taken over by commercialism, a metaphor for the new football.
