Product Standard rates products
across five quality categories:

13. Cradle To Cradle certifies products in the final production phase. Certification is based on 5
categories of criteria (shown below) and is scaled from Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Platinum is the optimum level of certification. Cradle To Cradle design philosophy is based on
continuous improvement. The goal of continuous improvement is not “zero” or simply reducing the
human and environmental impact of a product, but instead combines the progressive reduction of
“bad” with the increase in “good.”

• Material Reutilization score of >65*
• (*a combination of the recyclability/compostability and recycled/renewable content
of the product and is calculated
WATER STEWARDSHIP
• Water leaving facility does not contain any hazardous chemicals
• local geographic and industry water impacts analyzed
RENEWABLE ENERGY
• Products/ material produced with at least 50% renewable energy
• At least 50% of direct on site emissions offset
