The Online Library consists of several different types
of resources:
Research Resources
Video Tutorials
Ask a Librarian 24/7 Chat
Writing Center (consisting of Online Resources, APA
Formatting Help, and Information on Plagiarism)
3. Research Resources
ProQuest
Research Library- A collection of databases in many subjects,
including Science & Technology, Business, Health & Medicine, Social
Sciences, and History.
Nursing and Allied Health Source- Includes research from the
Joanna Briggs Institute of Evidence-Based Practice and instructional
videos.
CINAHL with Full Text
The Comprehensive Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature
(CINAHL) offers powerful search tools and influential journals.
Web Resources- Google Scholar, Pubmed Central,
CiteSeerx
4. Accessing Research Databases
Log-in to your Edverum account.
Click “Online Library” in the top of the Edverum
homepage.
Scroll down and click the link to the database you
want to access.
If you would like to view video tutorials on how to
use the research databases, click on the “Video
Tutorials” tab just above the list of databases.
5. Web Resources
The librarian carefully selects web resources relevant
to each course, to enhance the scope of the online
library.
Examples include e-books, online encyclopedias,
open access journals, and helpful websites.
6. Ask a Librarian 24/7 Chat
If you have a question related to an assignment, such
as help finding research articles or formatting a
citation, try the 24/7 chat reference box in the Online
Library.
The Stanbridge College Librarian or a librarian from
one of our partner schools will be able to answer
your questions, day or night, 7 days a week.
7. Writing Center
Click on the “Writing Center” tab on the Online
Library page to access.
Covers several topics:
APA Formatting
Stanbridge writing resources
Plagiarism
