We would love feedback from members of the Clarksville Association of Realtors. We are brainstorming how to make our association better. Please be kind & respect others opinions. We are all adults. :)
3. Keep better inventory of current basics: pending signs, flyer boxes, etc.
Poll/get suggestions from agents on desired basic business items & needs.
Safety corner with expanded items, tips.
Showcase in the store, at member breakfasts, website, Facebook, CART, etc.
Promos-Push members to use store items &/or store gift cert. as open house giveaways. Maybe offer discount incentives for agent to use store gift cert., sell item/voucher @ small discount.
Gift vouchers need to be revamped & look better.
Expand store to web store once CAR site revamped.
Click on link to shop, separate from CAR.
Additional links to other sites to avoid on hand inventory.
This allows members to shop for mugs, t-shirts, bags, stickers, pads etc. (Tons of contemporary, fun
items for those wanting non broker related but still “real estate” branded items. Great conversation starters!)
Can search for promo codes, try to broker free shipping, discounts with site administrators/owners.
Highlight specific item monthly/weekly promos (in store or online), new items or push certain items at breakfast/luncheons.
Get brokers more aware of stocked and online items.
4. Develop details necessary to use downstairs as event space.
Keys
Clean Up
On-duty Emergency Contact
Rates (member vs non-member) and referral rate (member refers non-member)
Damage
Contracts
Deposit
5. Just TWO of many sites where Real Estate related goods are sold.
EXPLORE REVENUE OPTIONS BY IMPLEMENTING CAMPAIGNS & CONTACTING INDIVIDUALS. SEE WHAT TYPE OF REVENUE GENERATION MIGHT BE AVAILABLE IN BEING A WHOLESALER OF MERCHANDISE. COULD BE CATALOG TYPE SALES.
*EVEN THOUGH NOT COMPANY SPECIFIC STEAL INDUSTRY RELATED & GREAT CONVERSATION STARTER AT THE GROCERY, SCHOOL, GYM, ETC. GREAT FOR COMMUNITY INTEREST & EXPOSURE.
6. CUFF Personal Safety Jewelry –Shipping items beginning Spring 2015 & will consider wholesale arrangements later in 2015
R.A. Securites(Diane Martin) Self defense items, concealed carry bags, fashionable & practical accessories for safety. Items sold through site for members could have promo code with % going to CAR.
7.
8. TV/Radio spots; There is RPAC money for these type of things. Find out more.
One sentence TAG-LINES. Have contest to pick best one, CAR can use new one yearly.
You’ve been CAR’d. Create some sort of buzz with signs, something to “prank” agents or brokerages around town. Ex. Multiple pink flamingos placed in the yard of an agent. Needs development but there is something to this that can help create a fun, positive attention on CAR & members.
T-shirt, bumper sticker, yard sign ideas. i.e. “when was the last time Zillow put you in their car?” Maybe a billboard with R & CAR logos.
Simple truthful statements can help agents when talking to public, individuals thinking to FSBO or use to help combat the negative perception or purpose/idea/value of having an agent. Statements that educate “homes listed by agents sell C amount faster”, “sellers using agent pay an average of X amount less per transaction”, etc. Educate the public that our education, ability to understand paperwork & the process, market knowledge & experience has a value.
Buyer beware articles to be on local websites (Clarksville online, C’vileNow, etc) as well as other brochures, educational material (The Real Estate Book) (?) to help promote our worth & value as professionals.
Utilize everyday exposure through Twitter & especially Facebook.
Ramp up completely
When PR stories are posted we can all share thus increasing exposure in our community.
Share everything, establish use of #, educate all brokers on campaign to increase & encourage widespread use
Everyday is different, links back to CAR, catchy phrase for each, make into #
Monday: Buyer/Listing Tips. Alternate
Tuesday Trivia: for CAR voucher, free item
Wed.: Hump day Realtracsfacts. Can compare data, new vs existing, expired, withdraws, etc
Thursday: Throwback pics or facts
Friday: Safety rules & tips
9. Increase a stronger, uniform presence in the volunteer community. We have an opportunity to project a positive, fun and proactive face to our organization.
Possibly have individuals sign up for community time & for that “shift” they out & fill the need for that day. Can happen by contacting multiple organizations (Manna cage, food kitchens, habitat for humanity, etc) around town to let them know we are creating a volunteer team available on X dates. Agent could sign up, swap out as needed, almost like floor duty.
Create volunteer coordinator.
Wider promotion/advertising the good that CAR & it’s members have done.
Handbags for Hope, Golf scramble, Salvation Army, CAR gives back, FUEL (Can issue press release & then post as picture on FB, CAR website, etcto back report on items).
PR committee needs help with educated, experienced individuals who can help spread the word as effectively as possible each & every time. PR is not getting the word out effectively.
Press releases should be done for ALL events of value to create awareness, marketing & advertising. Positive connection to CAR better for industry as a whole.
10.
11. Really no significant changes identified.
More VA/Military based education.
More 1 hour CEU credits.
More 1 hour courses for new agents to walk them through the basics in transactions, mock closings, mock listing appointments, mock dialogue for writing P&S. Better education with newer agents = less mistakes and make it better for the industry as a whole.
12.
13. Not many changes or additions needed or identified.
Poll agents via email, text, Facebook, SurveyMonkey.com in order to identify and obtain feedback as to what agents desire & wish to have as far as designations.
Continue to schedule as many as possible. Identify most common designation & possibly increase those courses.
Education in some form whether brochures, email, video etcon how important changing market & greater ability to cut out agents is impacting our profession.
14.
15. Continue Tech University days & similar events.
1 hrCE classes technology based or regarding specific applications. (Obviously depending on TREC)
YouTube videos need to have better background in order to look more professional.
Technology is clearly here to stay. More focus on the trends and efficient, useful ways to use technology to grow a successful, profitable business would be helpful to members. Due to how integral technology it’s focus & value should be better implemented & added into our regular meetings, breakfasts, etc.
Blogs such as realbloggin.com or those on Activerain.com should be utilized & information encouraged to share among agents. We need a forum to do so whether on our Facebook page or in additional courses.
Part of revamped CAR site include a Tech Corner
Savvy agents share apps, downloads or tips regarding technology, digital applications, etc.
Include good vs. bad, pros vs. cons, best, etc
16.
17. What does CAR really need? Where has the need for an intern been identified? Is “intern” loosely used or is this in a curriculum based, structured way? Once that is decided then the question can be fully explored.
Could there be a need for an intern possibly create a needed informational publication? If so could they do this for credit? Find out more.
Decide & identify what ways an intern could do to assist Government Committee.
Talk to APSU Gov’t department about findings & solid conclusions. Discuss how best an intern could assist the association & what would be required. Are there different types of interns?
Decide & identify what ways an intern could do to assist Public Relations Committee.
For PR, maybe newer agents could join the committee, volunteer time as “intern” of sorts.
18.
19. What is the current orientation for committee chairs? We need detailed programs.
Develop a checklist for exiting chair person in order to inform the following chair. This would be helpful in the case of turnover.
Develop an incoming chair checklist.
Checklist to include, but not limited to:
Previous year goals
Previous year accomplishments
Ongoing goals
Uncompleted goals. What was completed, what is next step.
Feedback form for the committee members to complete & hand in.
If possible at the end of the year, designate a member to be next years vice-chair.
20.
21. This integrates into #3 also.
Brokers should take a stronger more pro active role in constant education & helping to keep our standards as an industry high.
Last 2-3 minutes of monthly meetings, go over case pending, violations. State what the individuals did wrong, what should have been done & the outcome/punishment.
Ask brokers to reiterate this into weekly sales meeting.
Film it, upload to Twitter, YouTube, Facebook.
22.
23. Do not make it easier or enact more lenient requirements.
Even if a person was the “best” in another industry does not mean he/she should be able to step into huge role too quickly. Vetting is still crucial & very important.
Recruit brokers to ask their agents to apply to Leadership CAR.
New member program & initiative. We think it is important to have new members be more involved in CAR. We think getting them involved on the front end & more included would benefit and increase/expand leadership in CAR. Have this integrated with existing committee with several new, eager members on committee (as ambassador to new members, avoids conflict/idea of recruiting).
Follow up to new members within certain time period of license.
Set up email, text, Facebook messages for the 1styear.
Target information sent to them about CAR, opportunities, useful classes, volunteer opportunities, getting them more involved.
Have new members “meet your board” one day to encourage & facilitate the community feel. Have introduction of board, history of board, etc.
Checklist/questionnaire that helps to identify their interests.
Questionnaire to find out what the new agents want CAR & the community to do for them. And in return, what will you do for CAR. Get them thinking.
Free breakfast/lunch invites. Have specific information at the table. Encourage veteran members to visit & say hello. Create a sense of community. Have veteran member sit at the table to identify their concerns, questions. Brokerage specific questions could be relayed back to brokers.
