44. TeknikPenulisanNaskah Public Speaking
Ketika saya, anda atau siapa saja gagal melakukan persiapan dalam public
speaking, maka yang akan terdengar oleh kita adalah “suara kedua lutut
yang beradu”.
Persiapan membuat anda percaya diri. Persiapan membuat kita merasa
nyaman. Persiapan seperti pekerjaan rumah.
Ketika kita tidak mengerjakannya, maka pada hari di mana pekerjaan rumah
tersebut ditagih, keringat dingin akan mengucur dengan deras di dahi dan
lutut kita akan gemetar.
44
45. TUJUAN KEGIATAN PUBLIC SPEAKING
Dalam sebuah kegiatan public speaking, tujuan utama penulisan
naskah / kegiatan public speaking tidaklah lebih dari;
5M Menginformasikan
Meyakinkan
Menghibur
Menyentuh Emosi
Memotivasi / menginspirasi
untuk bertindak
45
46. HUMAS Vs PUBLIC
Perbedaan penulisan HUMAS dengan Penulisan Jurnalistik
HUMAS JURNALISTIK

organisasi, aktivitas, kebijakan, produ
k, personalitas, atau sudut pandang.
Pemaparan fakta
Tujuannya bisa menjelaskan tetapi
juga melindungi
Tujuannya pengungkapan pada publik
Keberimbangan dipahami dengan
memunculkan sisi positif dan mereduksi
atau mengabaikan sisi negatif
Prinsip keberimbangan krusial dalam
melaporkan isu pro dan kontra
Detail informasi sering menjadi
tuntutan dari pihak instansi
Sederhana dan ringkas menjadi
pertimbangan editor
Fakta ditampilkan secara alami tetapi
dengan pertimbangan matang untuk
memenuhi tujuan tertentu
Fakta mengalir alami dalam bercerita
atau cerita feature atau siaran

59. STAGE FEVER
The fear of standing up produces:
Shallow breathing
Dry mouth
Static posture
Hand, leg and knee shake
Rapid speech
Sweaty palms
Palpitations and feeling of panic
Blotchiness on face and neck
Negative body language. Ex: poor eye
contact
59
60. With thorough
preparation a little
nervousness is a good
sign. It means that you
realize the importance
of the occasion and
want to do your best.
60
61. Keep Breathing:
Draw in a good deep
breath
Release air
slowly, counting out loud.
Continue until you build
up a rhythm
61
62. The Flop:
Inhale: Bending over your
stomach, through your nose.
Exhale: slowly breath deeply
through your mouth.
Repeat it again and again.
62
63. To help overcome your fear:
Tell a story from your personal
experience. Your audience is
interested in you
Think about relaxing your
audience. Put your audience at
ease.
Think positive: concentrate on
being yourself, rather than
thinking about how nervous
you feel.
63
64. When feeling nervous, keep in
mind:
Fear is a normal experience
Fears are not well founded
Your audience will want you to succeed.
Speakers who are well prepared almost always
give creditable performances.
Nervousness tends to disappear with added
experience.
Speakers seldom look as frightened as they feel.
Use the nervous energy to sharpen your delivery
and concentrate on getting your points across.
64

audience without talking
Talking with a good voice
(diapraghm, articulation,

how you talk.
The most annoying to the
audiences:

70
71. Modulation
The enemy of modulation is
monotony
Depends on momentary
changes of pace, pitch, power,
pausing
Speak monotonously:
disagreeable of the listener
and fatiguing for you
71
72. Pausing:

help build suspense and
maintain interest.
For more practices, you may
choose your own article and keep
practicing the rate of your
delivery...
