This document provides information about various records held in archives that relate to the history of the North Lochs area in the Outer Hebrides. It lists sources such as Presbyterian church records from 1700 onward, poor relief applications from 1917-1929, school records from the 1800s and early 1900s including log books, valuation rolls from 1912-1913, and records relating to the Iolaire shipwreck in 1919. The document promotes the creation of a new museum and archive center at Lews Castle that will repatriate important historical collections back to the Outer Hebrides from elsewhere and serve as a dedicated space for archival materials relating to the islands.
