The reason why it is called "spiral learning" is
that students skills become interrelated as they
grow higher and wider.

full range of purposes, functions, and
identities, from the utilitarian to
aesthetic.

• We envision that Music in the K-10
Program will effectively nurture and
refine the learner’s artistic
expression and cultural literacy, and
celebrate his/her national heritage,
while it instills, within every
individual Filipino learner, pride in
his/her own cultural identity.
CONTENT OF MUSIC PER GRADE LEVEL
Learning Area Standard
The learner demonstrates an understanding
of basic concepts and processes in music
through appreciation, analysis and
performance for his /her self-development ,
celebration of his/her Filipino cultural identity
and diversity, and expansion of his/ her world
vision.
Grade 2 Level Standard
• The learner demonstrates basic and
fundamental processes in music
through performing, creating,
listening and observing and
responding.
Present a portion of a music lesson
that will show the following:
• Student – centered
• Spiral progression
• Performance-based learning
• Multicultural

  • 20. Learning Area Standard The learner demonstrates an understanding of basic concepts and processes in music through appreciation, analysis and performance for his /her self-development , celebration of his/her Filipino cultural identity and diversity, and expansion of his/ her world vision.
