- Option 1: Lightweight Office 365 dev/test environment consists of an Office 365 trial subscription that you access from your main computer. Option 2: Simulated enterprise Office 365 dev/test environment consists of an Office 365 trial subscription and a simplified organization intranet connected to the Internet, which is hosted in Microsoft Azure infrastructure services. Difference between two environment options is that option 2 allows you to demonstrate app in an environment.

- SharePoint Online: - basic setup is all you need if you don’t have a large amount of data to migrate - deployment advisor: cloud deployment, hybrid deployment, or on-premises-to-cloud migration. Then follow steps to configure features for file storage and sharing, external file sharing, site collections, global settings, and user profiles, and your Office 365 team site. Exchange staged migration assistant helps you migrate your mailboxes to Office 365 in phases over several weeks or months. Mail can be moved to Exchange Online from on-premises Exchange Server, IBM Domino, Google Apps for Work, Novell GroupWise, or IMAP capable systems.
