Founded by the Xaverian Missionaries in
1950, Our Lady of Fatima Shrine greets
visitors with natural surroundings and sacred
displays on a 23-acre site. Honoring the
vision of Fatima that occurred in Portugal at
the turn of the 20th century, the Rosary Walk
at the shrine may represent the world’s
largest rosary.
4.
An anchor donated by the United States
Navy attached to a 900-foot-long string of
boulders strung together by marine chain
forms the rosary’s beads. Each boulder
features the Hail Mary stamped in multiple
languages. Connected to the rosary’s anchor,
a mobile scene of the Crucifixion on Calvary
Hill looks down on the Rosary Walk.
