2. An experience of
educational innovation
For the study of color structures
carried out with the students of the
Degree in Fine Arts of the
University of Salamanca
3. Teach painting
Color as a concept from different
perspectives: visual impression, expression
of emotions and symbolic construction.
4. Objectives of the
project
• Visualize the use of color in the works of
reference artists and seek relationships.
• Nimbly identify color parameters (hue saturation
and brightness)
• Analyze practically chromatic structures in
relation to theories of color and the contrasts of
authors studied in class as Johannes Itten or
Josef Albers.
• Critically analyze own images and generate
debates about the results of the group-level
work.
• Compare color structures of copies and
interpretations about reference works.
• Use an auxiliary tool to solve color-mixing
exercises.
• Acquire basic skills and encourage student
learning from the combination of
experimentation with digital tools and the
traditional practice of painting.
10. Conclusions
It is very important for the student of the
Degree in Fine Arts to acquire from the first
moment a solid base of understanding of color.
