● Dave is also founder of Startup2Startup, a monthly dinner series for Silicon Valley startup entrepreneurs & investors. He has been a

Chris Pearson

● Chris works with the 500 events team and is responsible for organizing this Geeks on a Plane tour, as well as other 500
conferences and Demo Days, so if you have complaints about the trip, he’s the guy to yell at.
● Prior to joining 500 Startups, Chris spent 5 years in the finance industry, working in quality control management for
Colorado Federal Savings Bank.

Vitaly Golomb
Founder & CEO, Keen Systems
● Vitaly M. Golomb is Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He is an award-winning designer and startup veteran since
the age of 13. Having immigrated from the Soviet Union to Silicon Valley as a child; he was fortunate to get an early start in the center of
the technology universe first as a startup intern and then as the youngest employee in the history of Kinko’s.
● During the Dot Com peak, Vitaly ran the User Interface design team at a fast-growing enterprise startup while studying for his
undergrad. He went on to serve as the CEO of a printing company through its subsequent acquisition. He then founded a full service
interactive design firm that quickly grew to three offices, won several awards, and landed projects with numerous large brands.
● Vitaly founded and serves as the CEO of Keen Systems, a leading ecommerce platform connecting providers and customers in the $640B
printing industry. He is also a General Partner at CEED Valley Ventures, a seed stage venture fund focused on emerging European
startups.

Elaine Wherry

● Elaine grew up in Southwest Missouri on a small goat farm, her mother was a goat judge and her father sold wood stoves, while she
played the violin.
● It was the violin that led her to Stanford but within a few weeks, she realized that all of her friends were geeks who knew a lot about
computers, so she started coding and didn't look back.
● She graduated just after the first tech bust, led a usability & design team for four years, and then started working on Meebo, an online
chat IM service, which was acquired by Google in 2012. Her last title at Meebo was co-founder & CXO (Chief Experience Officer).
● She likes details and tends to be involved in anything with pixels, products, and people. Since the acquisition, she’s helped her husband
start Dandelion Chocolate, written articles for the WSJ, continued advising and speaking, and her primary project has been a graphic
novel about the mistakes made at different levels of the organization, the first draft of which she hopes will be complete soon so that she
can jump back into the startup saddle again.

Moo Natavudh

Tommy Chia

Michael Lints

Ari Korhonen

● Ari is an angel investor and venture capitalist. He is the the founder of Lagoon Capital investment company. Ari has been a successful technology
entrepreneur 20 years and a business angel for 10 years. He developed his company Komartek into an international success story. Komartek was
bought in 2004 by WM-data (presently CGI). His position in WM-data was Vice President.
● As an angel investor Ari has made 77 investments to 22 companies during the last 10 years – these include SkySQL, DealDash, Paytrail, WOT,

Samer Karam

● Samer Karam is an emerging markets serial entrepreneur and angel investor. He has been creating, investing in, and

Mike Prasad

● Mike Prasad is a technologist and product/marketing strategist with a focus on niche audiences, UI/UX, and platform development. With
a consistent track record on applying new technologies and marketing initiatives to disrupt verticals, Mike is able to jump in from macro-

Nick Sullivan

Fabiola Addamo

● A native of Italy, Fabiola Addamo ® is an artistic entrepreneur, tech woman and human rights activist based in San Francisco.
● She created a brand out of a dream inspired by her father. She makes fine art work and commercial design products. Her art has been
featured in exhibitions across the USA and Canada; it is also available for sale in her online stores. She is a visual storyteller that makes
immortal mentorship programs, entrepreneurial concepts, human rights, neuroscience concepts, emotions, spiritual wisdom, and the
tech world. She adds a written story to each design. In 2014 she started integrating her work into technology companies; she utilizes
them as gallery space.
● She works full time at IMVU, a social entertainment company connecting users through 3D avatar-based experiences. She has previously
spent five years at Yahoo!; she has expertise in mobile, search and customer support.
● She is currently the artist in residence at Stumbleupon in San Francisco, California and Calvin Charles Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona. She
also curates The Voice of Modern Global Women, a Facebook group to connect, mentor and empower women around the world using
technology.

Rosa Li
Consultant, Pomelo Fashion
● Rosa currently serves as consultant to Pomelo Fashion, a Bangkok-based fast-fashion start-up. She helped to take Pomelo Fashion from
idea to launch and worked on a number of projects such as merchandising, marketing and product design over the past year.
● Rosa graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) and is passionate about digital commerce, brand building and
entrepreneurship.
● Over the past 2 years, she has worked with a number of start-ups (True & Co, Citrus Lane, Pomelo Fashion) in a variety of functions such
as merchandising, marketing, analytics, and strategy.
● Prior to getting her MBA, she worked as a private equity and venture capital investor at Warburg Pincus and invested in companies in
both the U.S. and China.
● She also acquired M&A and finance skills by working as an investment banker.
● Rosa graduated from Northwestern University with a triple major in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences, Economics and

Arnaud Bonzom

Dusan Stojanovic

James Riney

● Prior to DeNA, James was the founding CEO of STORYS.JP, a publishing platform that crowdsources real life stories and channels them to
publishers and television networks. Notable content partners include Yahoo! Japan, Kadokawa, Fuji Television, and Huffington Post. The
platform has reached millions of readers and gathered thousands of user submitted stories since day one. Many of these stories have
gone on to be published, of which one became an Amazon #1 bestseller, selling over 300,000 copies in less than 3 months.

Anders Hallin

● Anders Hallin recently joined Telenor Digital as Chief Strategy Officer.
● Prior to joining Telenor Anders co-founded Bokavard, the largest site for booking health care appointments in Sweden,
Duego, the most popular dating app in Brazil, and the number one online classifieds site in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Ghana.
● Prior to that Anders headed marketing and business development at Stardoll, the worlds largest online social game for
young girls, with over 200 million members globally, and was an early day employee at Skype, where he among other things
headed up Skype’s efforts targeting business users.

Julie McDermott

Koichi Saito

● Liz has spent most of her career in the Seed Capital industry. Starting out as an Investment Advisor with Enterprise Ireland, a public VC
investing €40m per annum into 70 High Potential Start Ups following on as Programme Manager HBAN, Ireland´s national Business
Angel Network, establishing 7 Business Angel Syndicates across the country with an investment capacity of approx. €20m.
● In recent years Liz has worked indirectly with over 300+ High Potential Start Ups and has brokered 20 investments securing over €8
million in seed capital. Now Deputy Director for the Venture Lab at IE Business School (ranked No.1 in Europe, 13 worldwide by FT ´13)
she is responsible for accelerating 50 teams and spinning out on average 10 start ups per year.
● Liz is also founder of the Venture Network an international pitch slam event and head of the Co-investment Network for the Spain
Startup Co-investment Fund, a €40m seed fund run in collaboration with Enisa, Spain´s leading government agency for innovation.
● Liz is a Mentor for Wayra and Investor in Invoost. Liz was listed as one of Europe’s Top 100 Women in Tech by GirlsInTech, and one of
the Top 100 Women in Tech on Twitter by Business Insider. Liz also sits on the steering committee of the Startup Europe Partnership, a
platform for scaling startups in Europe launched by the EU Commission.

● Mr. Maddock initially entered the investment banking industry as a junior analyst.
