Hello. I have been practicing psychology for the past 31 years, and feel that this is truly what I am called to do. Fortunately, I don't feel burned out at all, so I plan to keep at it. About three years ago, I began writing a self-help book addressing the wounds to the self-esteem that are created by criticism, neglect and abuse during childhood. The book, entitled "Parables for a Wounded Heart: Overcoming the Wounds to Your Self-Esteem and Transforming Your Perception of You" combines the principles of Cognitive Therapy with therapeutic stories. I have been married for 38 years to the same wonderful woman, and enjoy three children and six grandchildren.
