INTRODUCTION
•The human body contains about 60% of water. Water
is a natural and organic element.
•Scientific studies shows that exercising in water
provides numerous benefits to both health and body.
•Aqua fitness is the modern trend in the world of
fitness and this trend is fast catching up in India too.
• it help improve the physical and mental health of an
individual.
•aquatic exercise is any exercise done in water helps
to enhance the general fitness of an individual.
•water exercise can increase cardiovascular health, joint
health, and upper and lower body strength .
•The water provides resistance to strengthen the
muscles and raise the heart rate while minimizing impact
on your joints.
• aqua fitness programs is popular because it’s a low-
impact form of aerobic exercise that is easy on the body,
especially joints.
•. Different forms of water aerobics include: aqua
Zumba, water yoga, aqua aerobics, and aqua jog.
BENEFITS OF AQUA FITNESS
•The main advantage of exercising in
water is that it offers resistance in all
directions, compared to land exercises.
• This form of exercise is particularly
beneficial to anyone at risk from bodily
stress, including the elderly, overweight,
or those recovering from soft tissue injury.

•It helps to burn twice the calories of land exercises.
•Water's buoyancy lowers the risks of stress-related
injuries.

AQUA FITNESS PROGRAMS
AQUA AEROBICS
•Water aerobics or Aqua Aerobics is an aerobic
exercise performed in shallow water such as
swimming pool.
•Basically it is a type of resistance training in which
a performer’s fitness gets developed on the
resistance of water.
•Aqua Aerobics supports the body and reduces the risk of
joints injury of the muscles. When one is stretching legs in
water, the flotation gives less stress on the joints and can
allow maximum range of motion in water.
•Water aerobics can help improve the physical and mental
health of an individual. The environment can help you
relieve stress and tension as the muscles are loosened
once you let your body submerge in water.
• The little to no impact on joints and muscles helps you
strengthen the body and lose weight; a person who weighs
150 lbs. can burn 272 calories in one hour

class.
