Low Pressure - Causes disturbance in the air
which causes rain/snow
High Pressure - Calms the atmosphere and
brings calm sunny weather
Cold Front - leading edge of cooler air
Warm Front - leading edge of warmer air

13. Practice
Open the Weather Folder on the Server under
Assignment Handouts. You will find at two to 3 weather
maps
Write in Pages a paragraph to 2 paragraph forecast
based on what is on the map FOR EACH MAP.
Start with an intro of yourself, then include state names
and proper terms for the symbols and colors. Talk
about what is going on in a friendly manner. Then wrap
up your paragraph with “This is _____ For KTOZ News.”
14. You will work with a small group and you will
each perform a weather forecast. Base it on
any one of the maps you choose. Record on
the green screen. Chroma key the map behind
you.
You will turn in your scripts (all of them) plus
your video of you on the green screen
performing the weather.
16. Perform Weather
Get into groups of 5-6
Find a computer with the weather maps in Photo
Booth
two people will hold the chroma sheets, one will hit
record in Photo Booth, one will perform the
weather
Rotate and have everyone perform
