Program and Instructional Highlights
Celebrated Teen Read Week 2008 with blog entries
and special book displays related to the event.
Added resources and blog posts related to YA lit
authors and using Web 2.0 resources for learning
more about YA writers.
Created a special display area to feature anime and
manga books for our patrons.
New Pageflakes Screencast on current events for
Biology news at

reference books to support current/upcoming
research projects as well as student requests.
Mrs. Fleet and Mrs. Hamilton attended the Georgia
Council of Media Organizations (COMO) conference
in Athens, Georgia. Mrs. Hamilton presented on
“Using Web 2.0 Tools to Develop a Personal Learning
Network for Librarians” at the conference.
Mrs. Fleet completed a graduate course,
“Educational Research Strategies.”
Mrs. Hamilton research social cataloging and how
this concept could be infused into our media center
program.
