The Impact of the Internet in Our Daily Lives
THE IMPACT OF THE INTERNET IN OUR DAILY LIFE
There is a big influence of technique on our daily life. Electronic devices, multimedia and computers
are things we have to deal with everyday.
Especially the Internet is becoming more and more important for nearly everybody as it is one of
the newest and most forward–looking media and surely "the" medium of the future.
Therefore we thought that it would be necessary to think about some good and bad aspects of how
this medium influences us, what impacts it has on our social behaviour and what the future will
look like.
The Internet changed our life enormously, there is no doubt about that. There are many advantages
of the Internet that show you the importance of this new medium. What I want...show more content...
Also men take this opportunity to work at home. What are the consequences, the advantages of
tele–working? Sure, if you have a family, you can spend more time at home, probably you can
spend more time with your children. Next is, that you can organize every day in the way you want
to. Meetings at the company are reduced to a minimum. Tele–working is also an advantage for the
owner of the company. Official studies substantiate that people who work at home are more
motivated than their colleagues at the office. .
You see, the Internet is really a very positive medium. Use the Internet and discover the advantages
of this new, forward–looking medium!
Another advantage of the internet is that you can join a community.
You can create new social contacts all over the world, which you could not do so easy without the
internet. Such communities can also help people who can not go out to find friends in the real
life because they are disabled. Therefore they can chat with other people via the internet.
Sometimes it is also easier for people, who are afraid to look into the other's face while talking, to
chat with a person that they do not know. There is something between them which makes it easier
for them to communicate. It also does not matter if you have a terrible appearance because you can
pretend to be whatever you want. You can also change your gender and your age to talk about topics
which you do not normally

My Life As A Student
My life as a student has been a fairly good one. I've received good grades throughout all my years
of high school and pride myself as an intelligent individual. But my individual ability to grow and
learn has been always changing and shifting as I have grown. I think that currently, I am at a low
point in my mindset and learning ability, but there is hope on the horizon. This essay will explore
the growth and mindset of Will Roser, and how I can grow as a learner, friend, and individual. As
a student, I have some habits that I rely on, both good and bad. I am usually a good student,
receiving above average grades and I am moderately happy with them. My strength is that I
always get everything done on time. I never have an excuse because my work is always done. I
pride myself on that fact. And although that may seem like a good quality, the fact that I
procrastinate so much does affect how good that work may be. So yes, I always finish my work
which is always a good thing, but it may be at the expense of my sleep schedule. I tend to do most of
my work the day before, despite telling myself over and over again that it needs to be done earlier.
Luckily I have hope for my habits as I am still young. I still have to work on my procrastination but I
think that I can improve as long as I start to see the benefits of starting work early. As William
James says in his essay Habit, "The period between twenty and thirty is the critical one in the
formation of intellectual and

Outline Reflecting on My Past, Present, and Future
Thesis Statement: Our past creates the foundation that brings us to our present. Throughout life we
are faced with choices. Those choices determine what road we travel. The past cannot be changed,
only learned from. What we choose to do with those lessons will determine how we live our present
and by our choices within our present we can go anywhere we want to with our future. The choice is
ours to make.

I started out in a sales position with the goal of owning my own business and within a few years I
was the owner of a lucrative cleaning company which afforded me the flexible schedule I desired
and the income I needed to maintain the lifestyle I wanted. I never forgot what the most
important things in life were even through my success. It's not what we become on the outside for
those are things that are fleeting; it is what we are within ourselves that lasts a lifetime. I say that
because things and people can be taken from us. The strength within will keep us going even
when our world is falling apart. I married in June of 1984 and had my first son January of 1987.
Life was good and it seemed like nothing could ever make that feeling disappear. I was grateful
for my family and enjoyed the life we had. But just as I stated earlier that which is on the outside
is fleeting, I experienced that first hand when I suffered through the death of my husband. I found
myself alone, feeling abandoned and responsible for the life of my young son and not knowing
what to do. I wish that on no one. I am grateful for the family I have for they were my strength
when I had none left and they were my encouragement when I thought I had nothing left to give. I
spoke of choices earlier and I faced a huge choice at that time in my life. I could have given up,

Composition on My Daily Life Or, My Daily Activities Introduction: A daily life means a

the morning. I always try to follow the maximum. "Early to bed and early to rise, Makes a man

Then i say my morning prayer and go out for a walk in the open air. Then i come back and sit to
prepare my lessons. I finish my studies by nine. Then i talk my bath. The bath over, i talk my meal
and rest for some time. School–hour: Then i start for school. I usually go to school on foot. Now

Explain How Daily Routines Promote Literacy
The daily schedule and routines promote literacy because in the language and literacy they read
books to the children such as "When you're not baking" and the following day they sing songs
such as "If you happy and you know it". The children are also learning to count to French from 1
to 5. They sing Head and Shoulders allowing them to learn body parts such as eyes and nose. This
is a great way to promote literacy because children love sing–a– longs and with sing–a– longs, they
learn new things.

My Daily Activity Essay
My Daily Activity Hello, everyone.... First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Kristina
Wulandari. You can call me Kristina, Tina, Kris or anything. Now, I am going to describe my
daily activity. Currently, I stay with my parents in Denpasar and every day I must go to campus
by motorcycle. When I have morning class on campus, I always wake up at 6 o'clock. I tidy up
my bed and take a shower immediately. Afterwards, I iron my clothes that I will wear to the
campus. Then, I wear my clothes soon and start to prepare things that I will bring to the campus For

that I can't come early to the campus. Nevertheless, I always attend the class as great as I can. If

Dementia Care and the Importance of Daily Routine Dementia robs a person of their ability to
plan or complete activities. It can make the world a very scary place. Familiarity is comforting and
reassuring. Jed Levine is an executive vice president with the Alzheimer's Association in New York,
he notes, "People with dementia experience greater difficulty when attempting to do new things. A
predictable routine can prevent a person with dementia from becoming distracted and forgetting
what they were doing. Even if there is little or no conscious awareness of time, routine helps ground
them." Holly Hart is the director of a residential health service in California. She agrees, "People
suffering from memory loss thrive on familiarity. Familiar faces, a familiar environment, even
familiar food–anything they can use as a touchstone."...show more content...
However, there is more than just the routine that should be considered. When routines are planned,
caregivers should think about the senior's abilities, interests, and past activities, as well as how they
enjoy using their time. Key components of the plan should include plentiful time for eating, personal
hygiene, and getting dressed. These activities often take increased amounts of time as the disease
progresses. Morning and evening activities should also be highly structured with set bedtimes and
times to wake up to avoid sundowning. In addition to creating a peaceful routine, well–designed
schedules can also provide a sense of control for a person who has lost control in so many areas of
their life. In some cases, it can help to delay the progression of the disease as it helps to strengthen
the short–term memory skills. Some researchers believe that routines help take short–term memory
activities and transfer them to the long–term memory part of the

A Day in the Life of a Teacher Essay
A Day in the Life of a Teacher I hear the sound of my alarm clock at 6:30am. Time to get up! I
wish it was Saturday, no school! No, I'm not a child, nor a student, but a teacher! You don't think
we enjoy everyday at work, do you? No. That's rubbish. Let me continue with my story of a day in
the life of a teacher.. As I force myself out of bed, a chilling thought comes over me. It's
Wednesday. This means I still have three whole days to get through until the weekend. Better get
a move on if I want to make it on time. First, I take a shower. I do this every morning to liven myself
up and to prepare for the day ahead of me. Today first up we have a whole school assembly. That's
one reason why I...show more content...
I make my way to class avoiding the students and setup and wait in the class until the bell goes at
half past 8. Outside the kids are eagerly waiting to be let inside, like a pack of puppies waiting for
you to open the door just so they can jump all over you with their muddy paws. What do they eat,
must be something like froot–loops. Which would explain not just the sugar rush but a for a few
others something else too. As soon as we are all in class, which doesn't take long, I give
announcements and ask the class to take their chairs to assembly. When we arrive I round up my
class, and once everyone is seated its time to go home. I wish! Though it is about 20minutes later.
At the beginning of every assembly we stand and sing the national anthem. Which doesn't sound
like an anthem at all. Instead of sounding like we are proud and free, it's sung in a droning tone.
When we sit down I shush all the chatters and the assembly begins. As a teacher it's our duty to
listen to what is happening around the school while also keeping a small eye, quite like a hawks,
on the class. We all usually sit back, act interested and see all the small things that go on. Like the
two kids who like each other keep pretending to 'look around the room' but are really trying to catch
a smile. Then there are the bad kids, who are trying to make peashooters and all the usual
blabbermouths who

Daily Journal
I woke up at 5.00am this morning after a decent rest. I felt energetic because I slept early
yesterday at around 9pm. I jumped out of bed and tidied my room saving time for my morning
jog. Later I went down stairs and found mum already up and watching her favorite morning
sermon on television. I greeted her and asked for my brother: he was still asleep; he is not as
hardworking as I am. I took the dog and told mom I was going jogging. Once out of the gate I
started jogging slowly into the nearby park where my friends and I go jogging every morning and
on weekends. I had jogged for about half an hour when I met Cindy one of my...show more content...
Jogging, I happened to meet one of my neighbors and friend Cindy. We related extremely well as
friends since childhood, and this interaction is what brought us together. Relating to people
around us is what makes us human; we can be termed as social beings. Organization is what
describes the role of doing things in a social group (Eubank, 1932); I followed my daily routine of
waking up, tidying up, jogging and getting ready for work in an orderly way so that things done in
the house and by other family members would not be affected. After jogging, I dressed up to look
neat and maintain my image in the community. Mom had made breakfast for us before we went to
school that was her duty to the family, and she expected all of us at the table for breakfast. We took
breakfast as an institution; institutions involved the arrangements done by human beings in
interaction with each other and regularly just like we did every morning for breakfast. School was
mandatory, and that was another step in life that I had to complete in order to find my place in the
community. I rushed to school; a place that gave me identity and gave me with knowledge. Going to
school made me motivated, responsible, and focused and I needed to be a successful individual in
my society. School was also not just a learning institution, but it gave me the identity

My Day With My Family
I believe that I feel the most comfortable when I am home with my family. Any activity we do
together is amazing. Whether it's watching a movie together, having dinner, or having something
to talk about. There is always a time of the day where we just have a good laugh about something
that happened throughout the day. I know my family will always be there for me and I will do
the same for them. I believe that I am blessed to have such a loving, caring, and compassionate
family. I believe when times are tough, my family is my true comfort. Even if it's the smallest
thing like a headache or stomachache I feel better with just my mom doing anything for me to
feel better. I don't need medicine to heal the smallest pains; all I need is my family's love. I've
never looked at another family and thought, "wow they have an amazing relationship, i am
jealous". Sometimes I do the opposite because I never had thought wrong about my family even
when we're aggravated sometimes. I remember during the summer we would have a cookout
every single Saturday and Sunday. We would all get together and have my dads "special asadas".
Which are a special steak well done with allot of lime and spices. We would sit there for hours eating
and having a beer. We would call close friends that we even call family. I believe there is no perfect
life or perfect family. I believe my family will overcome anything that causes pain or misery. I
believe that we are in full control of our own wellness, both

My Daily Routine Of School Essay
Education is mainly known to be given through the process of supplying or receiving edification that
is commonly gathered from schools. There is a variety of education that can be interpreted and
taught differently all around the world that can differ from what we receive in America and its
American schools. Although the ideal education and system that the United States offer–which is
what is expected from the larger society that surrounds– becomes an ineffective process when
compared to other countries such as Japan.
(https://tokyo5.wordpress.com/2010/07/29/japanese–vs–us–schools/ ) In my daily routine of school
in the U.S., I am provided many things that I tend to take for granted. It ranges from everyday
transportation to learning something new everyday. According to, This is Water, written by David
Foster Wallace, an American novelist and essayist, "There are these two young fish swimming
along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says,
"Morning boys, how's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually
one of them looks over at the other and goes, "What the hell is water?"' Students are being provided
the education that not many children have in other countries and are inhabited into the routine that
can lead them to take their given opportunities and education for granted. In Japan, the work
students give in their schools are on a tougher level. According to Tokyo Blog, a blog site ran by an

Descriptive Essay On A Morning
Mornings just great. Us early birds have the gift of watching the world around us come back to
life after being so tired. We all know most people don't like mornings simply because it interrupts
sleep. Yeah, something you can do when you're dead. I turned to the window delighted to see a
bright gray sky; just one giant cloud covering that asshole of a sun so it can't burn my skin and
give me cancer. Sure, your idea of a beautiful day might include blue skies and fairies, but I never
asked you. Today was.... Friday. Nothing special going on, so I'd have the regular classes.
I threw on a black t–shirt and skinny jeans that were slung over my crappy desk chair and ran my
fingers through my hair to work out any rats while making my way through a dim hallway to the
kitchen. My house is just one big dim hallway with rooms.
"Hey." My mom was already at work in the kitchen as always. She had the same dazed expression on
her face as she did every morning as she did her tedious mom–chores. Every day she had to wash
dishes, do laundry, cook food, pick up stuff around the house, etc.
She set down a plate with a small cinnamon roll drenched in white icing out on the table:"Here, eat
this before you leave."
"Nah."
"You need to eat something for breakfast, it's not good to skip meals." She nagged.
"Says who?"
"Says me. I read somewhere about it; they did quite a few studies on it."
"Hn, Bye." The screen door slammed shut before my mother could finish her pointless lecture. I
wasn't going to be late for school because of a cinnamon roll.
Most kids get their parents to drive them nowadays, but walking is a perfect opportunity for some
alone–time. People can just come find and interrupt my reveries even in my own home, but when I
walk, I'm traveling, and no one's going to try and catch up to me. Just thoughts, music, and burly
trees looming over cracked sidewalks. For the most part, it's a peaceful yet uneventful journey.
Other than dogs occasionally carrying on or people leaving early for work, there are almost no
interruptions.
Chg–chg–chg–chg. I grinned at the sound of a train beginning to rumble across rickety, old railroad
tracks. Somehow, I couldn't help but smile during moments like these. Soon the train

Why Is Cardio Important
.
Cardio is a great way to get exercise throughout the day. The American College of Sports Medicine
states that you should have 30 minutes of a moderate intense workout at least five days a week,
or a more harder workout for 20 minutes three out of the seven days a week. If you are doing this
to lose weight, you might want to do it up to an hour or even an hour and a half, which depends on
your diet or other activities you are doing throughout the week. In my opinion, I don't think cardio is
a beneficial weight loss strategy if you are not eating healthy and doing it the correct way. Here are
some of the benefits from doing cardio exercise, weight loss, stronger heart and lungs, increased
bone density, reduced stress, temporary relief from...show more content...
In my opinion I think people should set small goals first, and work towards those, while they still
have the one for weight loss, but in order to keep the motivation there, work on small things that
would help you lose weight and focus on goals that can be accomplished in your set amount of
time. Everyone's appearance is important to them. Being active can help make a person's life
better without even realizing it, because it increases blood flow to our muscles, strengthens the
heart and lungs, and teaches the heart to work more effectively. You can start looking forward to
exercising with these things, keep it simple by just walking, jogging or going to the gym for a
little bit, be patient by allowing yourself to make exercising a habit, focus on your body by
exercising regularly and stop focussing on calories in things, stop and smell the roses if you are
working out outside by walking or doing a jog around town, mix it up by doing different activities
that increase your heart rate, appreciate your body because you never know when you can get an
injury after you start working out and learning how to maintain a good workout. It is going to take
time to change the way you think about things, because you have done what you are used to doing
for so long, that it requires time to accept

Adding exercises into one's daily routines can change their whole lifestyle. Many people look at
exercise as being something just for people who want to lose weight or to become muscle bound,
but there are a great deal of benefits that can be received from exercising regularly. Of course
gaining muscle and losing fat are the two most popular reasons that usually attract people to the
gym, but they make up a small part of the potential benefits that can be achieved with exercise.

the next two years of irregular and undedicated exercise, I had lost ten pounds and nearly all my
strength. I began to notice my life style had suddenly taking a toll on my overall health, sending
me to the emergency room on several occasions. I soon realized that I needed to make a change in
my life style or it was going to destroy me. I again turned to exercise for the answers I needed to

that it is very important to eat healthy, get enough sleep, and avoid alcohol if I wanted to see
results from exercising. I was always quick to brush off advice like this, because I seemed to be
making progress without following such strict rules, but I knew now that I need to make a change.
I set out to achieve a healthy life style and began to use exercise as a source of

My Schedule During The Week Essay
Well, my schedule during the week is usually focused at school or at home. My weeks are never
smooth and I usually have a lot of homework because I am taking 18 units. I specifically handle all
my day to day things by the first study and do my homework before I go play a video game, sleep,
or eat. My days feel very structured and I usually tried to prepare and do all my homework at least 1
week ahead. That way I have a bit more time to study for a test. Most of the time, I get a homework
assignment out of nowhere, which always forces me to go with the flow. I organize my day to day
by a to do list, a pile, and by section. I always eat breakfast during 8:00 A.M. to 9 A.M., I eat lunch
at 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. and I would eat my dinner usually at

Those classes are usually the longest time–consuming in my week because they are about 3 hours
long. On the Saturday and Sunday, most of my time is to study for the exam or do homework
because my class gives me a huge amount of homework. I usually play games for about 30 mins
on randomly on my schedule or when I have a random free time. I sleep about 4 to 5 hours a day
in the week, but on the weekend, I sleep about 7 to 9 hours.
There are three examples from the text that I plan to use in my future or now to help me combat
my time management in the day to day task. First is to know how much time I am using for
studying and increasing that time if needed. Second is to use a system to plan and set priorities.
Lastly, it for me to stay motivated to follow my plan and avoid procrastination. The three strategies I
would use in the textbook would do the most important study first, use a calendar planner and daily
to–do list, and do the easier task first. I choose those three strategies for my time management
because time is the key to be successful. The most important to study first would help me seek a
question that I might not know; therefore, I could ask for assistance if I get stuck in my study. For
me to use a calendar planner would help me schedule my time more efficiently. For me to use a
daily to–do list will help me knock off what I need to accomplish by the end of my day. Doing the
easier task first is important because it

How Media Interacts with My Daily Life Essay
What is Media? Did you ever wonder how we can find out information we need, or just want to
know what is going on around the world? We use it in all different types of ways to retain the
knowledge and communication that we use on a day to day basis. Media is one of the many
ways of communication that is used to receive and deliver information to influence people across
the world. The use of media is communication being advertised through televisions, radios,

My work center uses a different source of media. In order to get information needed, we use the
internet. Using the internet is a great tool. We use the internet to tell us what is happening local and
world–wide. We use this tool to track military facilities, training and world issues. It helps retain
useful data from different sites, to help better our work. The internet advertises many varieties of
things that we don't hear on the radio, newspaper and sometimes televisions. Also, since the internet
advertises so much information, we tend to cling on and even communicate by phone calling
different sites for more detailed information processed through the internet. As we search for
different data, the internet can also advertise clothing, accessories, electronics and music. As for us
on the other hand, we still stay focus on what our work needs to be accomplished. Besides the
internet in our work center and throughout my command, magazines are a big source as well. We
use magazines as our weekly follow up; for events that were missed and what little information the
internet could not provide due to secured data. Magazines also advertise a lot

Eating Is A Daily Routine
Eating is a daily routine that helps us revive lost energy and with today 's society, but nowadays both
the husband and wife usually obtain full–time careers. These career take up much of a family 's time
and energy. Children of these families are usually energetic in many extracurricular activities such
as soccer, boy scouts, football, baseball, basketball, etc. With all the practices, games, and outings,
these activities consume a great amount of the family 's time. In this fast paced life, people find it
more and more convenient to grab some food on the way home rather than to prepare a full meal for
their family. This is the foundation for the thriving of fast food industries. Fast food has become
peoples' favorite meal; it out weighs traditional food. Since its arrival, it has brought convenience
like providing a tasty meal, helping us save time and money, and gives a perfect place for a
family to spend some quality time together. A positive aspect of fast food places is their efficiency
and rapid preparation of food. This explains how they obviously got the name "fast food". This
reason makes it become so popular because it introduces a new eating method. The fast food

Taking Care of Your Skin Essay
Our skin is the largest part of our body and needs constant care and miniaturization to achieve a
healthy glow. First thing to healthy–looking skin is maintaining an internal regimen; drinking lots of
water and eating fruits and veggies will keep skin nourished, moisturized and blemish free.
For body moisturize after taking a shower, and your skin will maintain its elasticity always feeling
soft and moist. Facial routines require a little more effort simply because of exposure to the
elements. Between the hot sun, the freezing cold, and pollution establishing an extra effort will keep
skin in top shape. Starting a daily regimen will develop youthful skin at any age.

minutes. The cucumber will nourish the eyes keeping them moist and tight.

simple skin regimen, and are necessary for deep cleansing and exfoliating dead skin. Look for masks
that are gentle and go with your skin type. Plan a hot bubble bath and a facial mask on the weekend
before going out. If you have acne skin, exfoliate with an AHA or a BHA exfoliates. Look for a
moisturizer that is good for oily skin and stay away from fried foods, and sugar. Many skin–care
products on the market cater to Acne skin, using specialty products will help you get rid of this
problem.

eye cream. Once having applied these put a concealer if needed, light make up and pressed powder.
Apply eye shadow, eyeliner and always take care of eyebrows. Finally apply lipstick and you are
ready to face the day.
Night, remove all eye makeups with a gentle eye makeup remover. Cleanse face, and moisturize
with night cream. Once a week use a mask and an eye treatment. Keep this up every day and your

age of forty anti age moisturizers will help keep skin

Daily School Routine
My School Routine Life is an interesting adventure worth living. I enjoy every bit of my life and
enjoy things around me such as, beautiful landscape, budding flowers, green scenery, wonders of
science seen in different forms, marvels of city life, the leisure of free time,. Though much of my
daily school is routine–based, yet the variety and diversity of daily existence make my daily school
routine an exciting adventure. Every person on the planet has his own life and obligations. A lot of
people have different daily school routines. Some of them have long day and others an easy day.
But that depends on how many classes they have. The biggest problem is the Time management

Prioritize my and others' needs and plan accordingly. I might even want to make three lists –
personal, home and school. Setting deadline. Again, there is no point in setting deadlines if I make
executive decisions to always push them back. Setting a deadline and trying my best to stick to it.
This allows for the possibility that other things will get in the way, but also allow for me still to get
the task done. Also stopping multi–tasking. Multitasks often seem to think they get more
accomplished, but it's not always the most productive or efficient route.my mind work better when I
am truly able to focus and concentrate on one thing. Daily school routine makes the five dharma's
work for the body. Actually, man's lifespan can be 150– 170 years or even more. Since we are
violating these dharmas, it has been reduced to 60–80 years. This routine is not suggested to make

How the Internet Impacts Our Daily Lives

  • 1. The Impact of the Internet in Our Daily Lives THE IMPACT OF THE INTERNET IN OUR DAILY LIFE There is a big influence of technique on our daily life. Electronic devices, multimedia and computers are things we have to deal with everyday. Especially the Internet is becoming more and more important for nearly everybody as it is one of the newest and most forward–looking media and surely "the" medium of the future. Therefore we thought that it would be necessary to think about some good and bad aspects of how this medium influences us, what impacts it has on our social behaviour and what the future will look like. The Internet changed our life enormously, there is no doubt about that. There are many advantages of the Internet that show you the importance of this new medium. What I want...show more content... Also men take this opportunity to work at home. What are the consequences, the advantages of tele–working? Sure, if you have a family, you can spend more time at home, probably you can spend more time with your children. Next is, that you can organize every day in the way you want to. Meetings at the company are reduced to a minimum. Tele–working is also an advantage for the owner of the company. Official studies substantiate that people who work at home are more motivated than their colleagues at the office. . You see, the Internet is really a very positive medium. Use the Internet and discover the advantages of this new, forward–looking medium! Another advantage of the internet is that you can join a community. You can create new social contacts all over the world, which you could not do so easy without the internet. Such communities can also help people who can not go out to find friends in the real life because they are disabled. Therefore they can chat with other people via the internet. Sometimes it is also easier for people, who are afraid to look into the other's face while talking, to chat with a person that they do not know. There is something between them which makes it easier for them to communicate. It also does not matter if you have a terrible appearance because you can pretend to be whatever you want. You can also change your gender and your age to talk about topics which you do not normally Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Life As A Student My life as a student has been a fairly good one. I've received good grades throughout all my years of high school and pride myself as an intelligent individual. But my individual ability to grow and learn has been always changing and shifting as I have grown. I think that currently, I am at a low point in my mindset and learning ability, but there is hope on the horizon. This essay will explore the growth and mindset of Will Roser, and how I can grow as a learner, friend, and individual. As a student, I have some habits that I rely on, both good and bad. I am usually a good student, receiving above average grades and I am moderately happy with them. My strength is that I always get everything done on time. I never have an excuse because my work is always done. I pride myself on that fact. And although that may seem like a good quality, the fact that I procrastinate so much does affect how good that work may be. So yes, I always finish my work which is always a good thing, but it may be at the expense of my sleep schedule. I tend to do most of my work the day before, despite telling myself over and over again that it needs to be done earlier. Luckily I have hope for my habits as I am still young. I still have to work on my procrastination but I think that I can improve as long as I start to see the benefits of starting work early. As William James says in his essay Habit, "The period between twenty and thirty is the critical one in the formation of intellectual and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Reflecting on My Past, Present, and Future Diana Koch Jones PSY 202 Laura Prout November 12, 2012 Outline Reflecting on My Past, Present, and Future Thesis Statement: Our past creates the foundation that brings us to our present. Throughout life we are faced with choices. Those choices determine what road we travel. The past cannot be changed, only learned from. What we choose to do with those lessons will determine how we live our present and by our choices within our present we can go anywhere we want to with our future. The choice is ours to make. I started out in a sales position with the goal of owning my own business and within a few years I was the owner of a lucrative cleaning company which afforded me the flexible schedule I desired and the income I needed to maintain the lifestyle I wanted. I never forgot what the most important things in life were even through my success. It's not what we become on the outside for those are things that are fleeting; it is what we are within ourselves that lasts a lifetime. I say that because things and people can be taken from us. The strength within will keep us going even when our world is falling apart. I married in June of 1984 and had my first son January of 1987. Life was good and it seemed like nothing could ever make that feeling disappear. I was grateful for my family and enjoyed the life we had. But just as I stated earlier that which is on the outside is fleeting, I experienced that first hand when I suffered through the death of my husband. I found myself alone, feeling abandoned and responsible for the life of my young son and not knowing what to do. I wish that on no one. I am grateful for the family I have for they were my strength when I had none left and they were my encouragement when I thought I had nothing left to give. I spoke of choices earlier and I faced a huge choice at that time in my life. I could have given up, embraced the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Explain How Daily Routines Promote Literacy The daily schedule and routines promote literacy because in the language and literacy they read books to the children such as "When you're not baking" and the following day they sing songs such as "If you happy and you know it". The children are also learning to count to French from 1 to 5. They sing Head and Shoulders allowing them to learn body parts such as eyes and nose. This is a great way to promote literacy because children love sing–a– longs and with sing–a– longs, they learn new things. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Familiarity is comforting and reassuring. Jed Levine is an executive vice president with the Alzheimer's Association in New York, he notes, "People with dementia experience greater difficulty when attempting to do new things. A predictable routine can prevent a person with dementia from becoming distracted and forgetting what they were doing. Even if there is little or no conscious awareness of time, routine helps ground them." Holly Hart is the director of a residential health service in California. When routines are planned, caregivers should think about the senior's abilities, interests, and past activities, as well as how they enjoy using their time. Key components of the plan should include plentiful time for eating, personal hygiene, and getting dressed. These activities often take increased amounts of time as the disease progresses. Morning and evening activities should also be highly structured with set bedtimes and times to wake up to avoid sundowning. In addition to creating a peaceful routine, well–designed schedules can also provide a sense of control for a person who has lost control in so many areas of their life. • 8. A Day in the Life of a Teacher Essay A Day in the Life of a Teacher I hear the sound of my alarm clock at 6:30am. Time to get up! I wish it was Saturday, no school! No, I'm not a child, nor a student, but a teacher! You don't think we enjoy everyday at work, do you? No. That's rubbish. Let me continue with my story of a day in the life of a teacher.. As I force myself out of bed, a chilling thought comes over me. It's Wednesday. This means I still have three whole days to get through until the weekend. I make my way to class avoiding the students and setup and wait in the class until the bell goes at half past 8. What do they eat, must be something like froot–loops. Which would explain not just the sugar rush but a for a few others something else too. As soon as we are all in class, which doesn't take long, I give announcements and ask the class to take their chairs to assembly. When we arrive I round up my class, and once everyone is seated its time to go home. I wish! Though it is about 20minutes later. At the beginning of every assembly we stand and sing the national anthem. Which doesn't sound like an anthem at all. Instead of sounding like we are proud and free, it's sung in a droning tone. When we sit down I shush all the chatters and the assembly begins. As a teacher it's our duty to listen to what is happening around the school while also keeping a small eye, quite like a hawks, on the class. We all usually sit back, act interested and see all the small things that go on. Like the two kids who like each other keep pretending to 'look around the room' but are really trying to catch a smile. I felt energetic because I slept early yesterday at around 9pm. I jumped out of bed and tidied my room saving time for my morning jog. Later I went down stairs and found mum already up and watching her favorite morning sermon on television. I greeted her and asked for my brother: he was still asleep; he is not as hardworking as I am. I took the dog and told mom I was going jogging. We related extremely well as friends since childhood, and this interaction is what brought us together. Relating to people around us is what makes us human; we can be termed as social beings. Organization is what describes the role of doing things in a social group (Eubank, 1932); I followed my daily routine of waking up, tidying up, jogging and getting ready for work in an orderly way so that things done in the house and by other family members would not be affected. After jogging, I dressed up to look neat and maintain my image in the community. Mom had made breakfast for us before we went to school that was her duty to the family, and she expected all of us at the table for breakfast. We took breakfast as an institution; institutions involved the arrangements done by human beings in interaction with each other and regularly just like we did every morning for breakfast. School was mandatory, and that was another step in life that I had to complete in order to find my place in the community. I rushed to school; a place that gave me identity and gave me with knowledge. Going to school made me motivated, responsible, and focused and I needed to be a successful individual in my society. School was also not just a learning institution, but it gave me the identity Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Day With My Family I believe that I feel the most comfortable when I am home with my family. Any activity we do together is amazing. Whether it's watching a movie together, having dinner, or having something to talk about. There is always a time of the day where we just have a good laugh about something that happened throughout the day. I know my family will always be there for me and I will do the same for them. I believe that I am blessed to have such a loving, caring, and compassionate family. I believe when times are tough, my family is my true comfort. Even if it's the smallest thing like a headache or stomachache I feel better with just my mom doing anything for me to feel better. I don't need medicine to heal the smallest pains; all I need is my family's love. I've never looked at another family and thought, "wow they have an amazing relationship, i am jealous". Sometimes I do the opposite because I never had thought wrong about my family even when we're aggravated sometimes. I remember during the summer we would have a cookout every single Saturday and Sunday. We would all get together and have my dads "special asadas". Which are a special steak well done with allot of lime and spices. We would sit there for hours eating and having a beer. We would call close friends that we even call family. I believe there is no perfect life or perfect family. I believe my family will overcome anything that causes pain or misery. • 12. My Daily Routine Of School Essay Education is mainly known to be given through the process of supplying or receiving edification that is commonly gathered from schools. There is a variety of education that can be interpreted and taught differently all around the world that can differ from what we receive in America and its American schools. Although the ideal education and system that the United States offer–which is what is expected from the larger society that surrounds– becomes an ineffective process when compared to other countries such as Japan. (https://tokyo5.wordpress.com/2010/07/29/japanese–vs–us–schools/ ) In my daily routine of school in the U.S., I am provided many things that I tend to take for granted. It ranges from everyday transportation to learning something new everyday. According to, This is Water, written by David Foster Wallace, an American novelist and essayist, "There are these two young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, "Morning boys, how's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, "What the hell is water?"' Students are being provided the education that not many children have in other countries and are inhabited into the routine that can lead them to take their given opportunities and education for granted. In Japan, the work students give in their schools are on a tougher level. According to Tokyo Blog, a blog site ran by an Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Descriptive Essay On A Morning Mornings just great. Us early birds have the gift of watching the world around us come back to life after being so tired. We all know most people don't like mornings simply because it interrupts sleep. Yeah, something you can do when you're dead. I turned to the window delighted to see a bright gray sky; just one giant cloud covering that asshole of a sun so it can't burn my skin and give me cancer. Sure, your idea of a beautiful day might include blue skies and fairies, but I never asked you. Today was.... Friday. Nothing special going on, so I'd have the regular classes. I threw on a black t–shirt and skinny jeans that were slung over my crappy desk chair and ran my fingers through my hair to work out any rats while making my way through a dim hallway to the kitchen. My house is just one big dim hallway with rooms. "Hey." My mom was already at work in the kitchen as always. She had the same dazed expression on her face as she did every morning as she did her tedious mom–chores. Every day she had to wash dishes, do laundry, cook food, pick up stuff around the house, etc. She set down a plate with a small cinnamon roll drenched in white icing out on the table:"Here, eat this before you leave." "Nah." "You need to eat something for breakfast, it's not good to skip meals." She nagged. "Says who?" "Says me. I read somewhere about it; they did quite a few studies on it." "Hn, Bye." The screen door slammed shut before my mother could finish her pointless lecture. I wasn't going to be late for school because of a cinnamon roll. Most kids get their parents to drive them nowadays, but walking is a perfect opportunity for some alone–time. People can just come find and interrupt my reveries even in my own home, but when I walk, I'm traveling, and no one's going to try and catch up to me. Just thoughts, music, and burly trees looming over cracked sidewalks. For the most part, it's a peaceful yet uneventful journey. Other than dogs occasionally carrying on or people leaving early for work, there are almost no interruptions. Chg–chg–chg–chg. I grinned at the sound of a train beginning to rumble across rickety, old railroad tracks. Somehow, I couldn't help but smile during moments like these. • 14. Why Is Cardio Important . Cardio is a great way to get exercise throughout the day. The American College of Sports Medicine states that you should have 30 minutes of a moderate intense workout at least five days a week, or a more harder workout for 20 minutes three out of the seven days a week. If you are doing this to lose weight, you might want to do it up to an hour or even an hour and a half, which depends on your diet or other activities you are doing throughout the week. In my opinion, I don't think cardio is a beneficial weight loss strategy if you are not eating healthy and doing it the correct way. Here are some of the benefits from doing cardio exercise, weight loss, stronger heart and lungs, increased bone density, reduced stress, temporary relief from...show more content... In my opinion I think people should set small goals first, and work towards those, while they still have the one for weight loss, but in order to keep the motivation there, work on small things that would help you lose weight and focus on goals that can be accomplished in your set amount of time. Everyone's appearance is important to them. Being active can help make a person's life better without even realizing it, because it increases blood flow to our muscles, strengthens the heart and lungs, and teaches the heart to work more effectively. You can start looking forward to exercising with these things, keep it simple by just walking, jogging or going to the gym for a little bit, be patient by allowing yourself to make exercising a habit, focus on your body by exercising regularly and stop focussing on calories in things, stop and smell the roses if you are working out outside by walking or doing a jog around town, mix it up by doing different activities that increase your heart rate, appreciate your body because you never know when you can get an injury after you start working out and learning how to maintain a good workout. It is going to take time to change the way you think about things, because you have done what you are used to doing for so long, that it requires time to accept Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Of course gaining muscle and losing fat are the two most popular reasons that usually attract people to the gym, but they make up a small part of the potential benefits that can be achieved with exercise. I also continued in poor eating, abuse alcohol, and sleep for only a few hours a night. Over the next two years of irregular and undedicated exercise, I had lost ten pounds and nearly all my strength. I began to notice my life style had suddenly taking a toll on my overall health, sending me to the emergency room on several occasions. I soon realized that I needed to make a change in my life style or it was going to destroy me. I again turned to exercise for the answers I needed to make the change. I had heard many times before, while talking to other people who worked out, that it is very important to eat healthy, get enough sleep, and avoid alcohol if I wanted to see results from exercising. I was always quick to brush off advice like this, because I seemed to be making progress without following such strict rules, but I knew now that I need to make a change. • 16. My Schedule During The Week Essay Well, my schedule during the week is usually focused at school or at home. My weeks are never smooth and I usually have a lot of homework because I am taking 18 units. I specifically handle all my day to day things by the first study and do my homework before I go play a video game, sleep, or eat. My days feel very structured and I usually tried to prepare and do all my homework at least 1 week ahead. That way I have a bit more time to study for a test. Those classes are usually the longest time–consuming in my week because they are about 3 hours long. On the Saturday and Sunday, most of my time is to study for the exam or do homework because my class gives me a huge amount of homework. I usually play games for about 30 mins on randomly on my schedule or when I have a random free time. I sleep about 4 to 5 hours a day in the week, but on the weekend, I sleep about 7 to 9 hours. There are three examples from the text that I plan to use in my future or now to help me combat my time management in the day to day task. First is to know how much time I am using for studying and increasing that time if needed. Second is to use a system to plan and set priorities. Lastly, it for me to stay motivated to follow my plan and avoid procrastination. The three strategies I would use in the textbook would do the most important study first, use a calendar planner and daily to–do list, and do the easier task first. I choose those three strategies for my time management because time is the key to be successful. The most important to study first would help me seek a question that I might not know; therefore, I could ask for assistance if I get stuck in my study. For me to use a calendar planner would help me schedule my time more efficiently. For me to use a daily to–do list will help me knock off what I need to accomplish by the end of my day.
