Creating an altar is a magical way to invite more of your heart into your life and create more beauty, in divine style.
There’s something pretty delightful about creating beautiful space that’s tiny + timeless… and inside this high-speed, information-driven, have-it-now-or-else kind of world, I say keeping things small enough to see and soft enough to feel is an empowered woman's secret to joy!

I’m a Joy Stylist + Intuitive Guide to Lady Luminaries.
I created this here lil’ guide because I believe in the power of small.
Er, let me explain…
If you run a business and a family, you likely find yourself… well running all
the time. Your schedule is full, your creativity is endless, and you have more
Facebook fans and Instagram followers than you know what do with.
The truth is, you’re big and so is your life.
And as you wise women know, the bigger your life + demands, the harder it is
to make room for the small + sacred, yet alone have fun with it.
Kind of a paradox, isn’t it?
Creating an altar is a magical way to invite more of your heart into your life, divine feminine style.
There’s something pretty delightful about creating beautiful space that’s tiny + timeless… and inside this high-speed,
information-driven, have-it-now-or-else kind of world, I say keeping things small enough to see and soft enough to

May you adventure into your heart + love what you find…

For me, my altars are simply portals to send
love and get love back. It’s my intentional way
of creating intimate space that preserves
everything sacred in my life and grounds me
within a really big world of instant gratification +
infinite possibilities.
I like to keep potentially
complex things super simple.

You are the Queen of your altar.
So you can create your sacred space however you fancy!
With all this creative freedom and magnetic power at your whim, it’s important to get grounded in what
and where. Ask yourself these two questions before you get started:
Wheredo I want my
altar to be
about?
do I want my
altar to be?
What
You can choose to have one special altar or
many throughout your life-scape.
My advice? Create sacred space anywhere
you visit often. Windowsills, a bedroom side
table, bathroom vanity, or even your car’s
dashboard are perfect portals for holding
energy you’ll notice through the day.
This all depends on what you are creating my
dear! Will you be laying the groundwork for
your next big thing or blowing kisses to those
near and dear in your beloved community?
Attracting a new love or inviting a new life?
Your altar is your place to treasure these
things in your heart.

Another fun way to create your altar is to let the energy of
the room decide.
The Bagua Map is used in modern forms of
Feng Shui to map a room, so why not use it
to decorate your intentions while honoring
the chi of your space?

Use the grid here on a large scale for your
home or place it over top of your altar surface
to arrange your objects in the theme of each
section.
For example, if you’re praying for Prince
Charming (or fanning to flame your current
one!) you can light a candle with pink peonies
(or pink lacey underwear??) in the upper
right corner of your altar. Remember, your
object is impressionable + dynamic; it’s your
energy that puts the sacred in it!

Let each heart represent someone or something you want to bless on your altar. Simply print, cut, and write a name or desire onto
the paper. Place into a special container and light your candle, you light-giver you.
8. D I Y : I N T E N T I O N C A R D
Print this card when you want a colorful background to super-charge your sparkly intention. I love using metallic pens on this
(Sharpies work great!) to add extra illumination to my powerful + magnetic words!
I bless my intention with magic & trust.
I ground my intention with grace & love.

Use these words to build intuitive messages for your altar. Cut them out, place them in a special container, and draw them when
you want to receive a message from Spirit or gain inspiration + clarity on a current issue.

Give love to your fears! Write down 3 things
you are afraid of failing at (make them good…
they are usually the brightest part of you!)
Then, cut out the slips below and put them in a
jar on your altar. Say a prayer, pull a slip, and
write down a dare or two (or three!). Go public
with it, tell a friend, post to your thousands of
friends on Facebook…. ‘cause courage feels
sooo good.

Have you ever been part of a ceremony
where you wrote down your judgment,
crumbled it up in a ball and threw it in a
fire?
What if you just loved it instead? What
if you spoke blessings to your fears and
judgments before throwing them away?
Here’s a fun DIY to help you do just that.
Cut out the circle label and place it on a
special jar for your altar, designated
exclusively for your judgments + limiting
self-beliefs.
As soon as one pops into your mind, don’t’
be afraid to listen to it! Write it down and
place it in the jar. Each time you go to
your altar, you’ll infuse the judged
thought with love and compassion. When
you want, you can even pull one out and
re-read it. Perhaps you’ll find an inspired
message that was buried under all that
judgment!

In dream interpretation, driveways
symbolize coming home to oneself.
What a beautiful place to build an altar,
especially on a full moon!
Here’s how to do it:
1. Create a base for your altar using sidewalk
chalk. Rather than planning out a design, use
your intuition for shapes and colors.
2. In the center of the drawing of whatever
shape you chose, place a piece of paper with
a wish, desire, intention, or whatever you
want to be charged.
3. On top of the paper, place a glass of water to
sit under the moon’s enchanting glow.
4. When you awake in the morning, create a
ritual around your wish, and sip the moon
water prayerfully, or store it for a special
ritual at a later time.
