2. A Little About Me, Liza Timmers
My passion for photography started as a young girl living on a working dairy farm in central Minnesota. The first
camera I owned was a 110 when I was 9 and I've been taking photos ever since.
In 2007 I purchased my first digital SLR and there was no turning back. It goes with me everywhere so that I
don't miss a chance to capture that perfect photo.
Over 10 years of experience as a skilled graphic designer gave me many opportunities to direct photoshoots
and work with several well known photographers. I was inspired by their ability to captivate and awe through
their images. After a job layoff with the company I worked for, I took it as an opportunity to start out on my own.
I enjoy working out of my residential studio in a quiet country setting. Married to a very supportive man and
together we have two amazing young boys. Life is never dull! I have one horse that I have owned for 15 years
who I affectionately call Mo, and two outside kitties. As a family we enjoy visiting the North Shore and other
scenic Minnesota places.
The subjects I enjoy shooting the most are lifestyle, special events, portraits, nature and candid photos. I enjoy
being challenged by turning a boring shot into something that creates interest or excitement.
