Savtira Corporation Selects Juniper Networks to Power Software Streaming of Digital Media from the Cloud<br />TAMPA FL, Mar. 29, 2011 — Savtira Corporation, a new provider of outsourced e-commerce solutions, today announced it has selected Juniper Networks to power streamed media and applications from the cloud for the Savtira e-commerce platform and Entertainment Distribution Network (EDN).<br />Savtira Corporation selected a portfolio of Juniper Networks® switching, routing and security products including Juniper Networks® EX Series Ethernet Switches, MX Series Routers and SRX Series Services Gateways® all running the Junos® operating system to deliver the scale, performance, agility and security needed to launch the Tampa Data Center with a 140 gigabyte fabric. Due to the economics of Juniper’s massive backplane capabilities, along with the latest GPU blade server technology, Savtira is now able to deliver new and secure cloud-based applications and services to customers.<br />Businesses will now be able to use Savtira’s Carrier-Class Entertainment Distribution Network (EDN) to stream all digital media from the cloud to any device. All types of software and digital media (business applications, games, music, movies, audio/ebooks) are available to consumers on a rental or subscription basis.
