• 116 project outlines received
- half of them were developed into full proposals
• 178 proposals received
18 of these where rejected or transferred to other calls
• The BIA Programme Board decided on 160
proposals applying for 1 613 mill. NOK
• 46 proposals are invited to contract
negotiations, going on now
–Additional 2 proposals placed on a waiting list
• Total budget available: 483 mill. NOK

12. Software for profiling tumor neo-antigens to empower cancer
immunotherapy
Company: OncoImmunity is a Norwegian bioinformatics company developing machine-learning methods for
interpreting genomics data from cancer biopsies
Project objective: To develop software which can profile a patient’s tumor and identify patients that are likely to
respond to immunotherapy. The software will be used by pharmaceutical companies and cancer hospitals to
select patients for clinical trials and will help empower and fast-track the unfolding immunotherapy revolution
Expected results: The company is collaborating with the Oslo University Hospital and Merck to demonstrate that
the the software can identify sarcoma patients who respond to the immunotherapy pembrolizumab

Prosjektet skal med sensorer og moderne teknologi utvikle elektronisk teknikktrening, basert
på den enkeltes biomekaniske forutsetninger og ambisjonsnivå.
Gjennom forskningsbasert kunnskap og utvikling av nye teknologier vil prosjektet kunne bidra til
å skape unike kundeopplevelser basert på produkter og tjenester.

15. Knowledge Building Projects for Industry
100 mill. NOK is targeted by BIA for 2019 to contribute to long-
term industry-oriented researcher training and competence
building in research communities in areas of high industrial
potential

16. Innovation Projects for Industry
A total of 1 120 mill. NOK was targeted for 2018 throughout 9
different programmes towards innovation and sustainable value
creation in industry to stimulate R&D activity.
• A commercial company is required as applicant and contract
partner
• Cooperation with R&D partner(s) is mandatory
• Normal RCN support level is 35-40%
• Project period: 3 to 4 years
• A planned BIA call for proposals with deadline 10th Oct. 2018 is
now published with a tentative budget of 350 mill. NOK
• This call will be published in final version beginning of May
• Deadline for submitting voluntary, and highly recommended
