1. How the world works Kavannaugh Blade Room 18 2010 Inquiry questions
2. What country wastes the most water? How do they waste it? The country that wastes the most water is the United States of America (USA) because it is a hugely populated place. Manypeople live there, so a lot of water is used. All people should try and conserve water, no matter where they live in the world.
3. How can we save the earths water? There are a variety of ways we can help. For example: only using full loads in your dishwasher and washing machine, turning off taps while you are brushing your teeth, repairing dripping taps, washing dishes in a basin, and having shorter showers. If we do this more often, we could save more water for our future.
4. Do people waste water for a reason, or accidently? Why? Most people waste water accidently. I don’t think they realize that they are wasting a resource that is needed for EVERYONE to live. Miners waste HEAPS of water. I have seen them on TV, and they use fresh water to find coal and diamonds. I mean, who would choose Coal to heat their homes and diamonds to wear, over Water, a much needed resource? Not me.
5. Why is fresh water limited, when there is so much of it? Fresh water is limited because there is only 1% of fresh water left in the world. But there is 88% of salt-water left.So why don’t we drink salt water? Well, its because if a person drank only salt water, they would eventually die from dehydration, because the more you drink, the thirstier you will get (because of the salt content in it).
6. Then if there is too much salt in salt water, why don’t we just boil it? When it is boiled, then the salt particles are removed.Well, there is actually no way to separate the salt in salt water. Even if you boil it, the salt stays, because the salt cannot be taken out
