    Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with local governments
    Responsibilities:
          •    Translate & interpret for Nara City, personal interpreter of mayor & members of Nara City Council
          •    Manage international exchange portfolios with sister cities (Florence, Italy, Boston, US & Paris, France)
          •    Writer, photographer, & content editor of organization’s English newsletter (circulation of 1,000) &
               English version of Nara City’s newsletter (circulation of 1,000); launched & managed English websites
          •    Involved in creation, organization & management of numerous intercultural events within town
               (foreign language classes, cross-cultural seminars, home-stay visits, cooking classes, rowing carnival)
          •    Member of AJET executive committee, peer organized support group with over 100 other JET
               Programme participants within prefecture
          •    Organize & run weekly lecture series & English-language course (over 50 students); increased number
               of participants by 50%
          •    Taught English & foreign culture (sport, arts) to over 400 Japanese elementary school students
          •    Organized & taught weekly English language course (over 30 participants)
    Achievements:
          •    Monthly columnist for local town newsletter (in Japanese)
          •    Co-hosted & wrote content for regular English language program on local TV network station
          •    Spearheaded project on Women’s Health Handbook in English, providing information in English
               concerning rural health care facilities & resources for over 50 women
