2. WHAT IS A STORY BOARD?
Storyboards are graphic
organizers in the form of
illustrations or images
displayed in sequence for the
purpose of pre-visualizing a
motion
picture, animation, motion
graphic or interactive media
sequence. It is important that
we use one so that we know
what shots we will use for our
music video. To the right is an
example of one.
3. OUR STORY BOARD- FIRST SLIDE
This is our first section of our story
board, our idea for this is to do some
lip syncing with different camera
angles used so we will have to film the
lip syncing at numerous times from
different angles. We will film the whole
song numerous times in order to get
these shots, as then when it comes to
editing we will have more to work with.
4. SECOND SLIDE
For the second part of the music
video, we need to show abit more
of the argument so that people at
least have a little clue as to what
happened. It is again important
that we get this scene from lots of
different angles in order to give us
lots to edit from.
5. THIRD SLIDE
This is another possible shot that
we were going to use in order to
show that there is a distance
between the two characters, by
flicking between two different
shots.
6. FORTH SLIDE
This is another idea for a shot that
we can use, the ideas that we are
putting into our story board. These
ideas may not go into our music
video but they will give us ideas.
7. FIFTH SLIDE
This is a shot of rob walking down
the road, it is something that we
will defiantly need to get plenty of
footage of whilst we are filming, as
it can be done in interesting ways
to take up time whilst editing.
8. SIXTH SLIDE
This is the part of the story where
the argument comes in, it is very
important that we get lots of
footage for this bit, as the more
camera shots we used with fast
pace editing. The better the
argument scene will look.
9. SEVENTH SLIDE
This slide here will show how the
girl is feeling after the
argument, this will allow us to
show both sides of the story
through various camera angles.
10. WHAT IS OUR STORY BOARD FOR?
This is a brief outline of what the story will be for our music video, we
are likely to take parts out and add more parts in whilst we are filming/
editing. This is simply to give us a outline as to what to film, when to film
it and how to film it.
We will take a copy of both our story board and filming schedule with
use whilst we are filming, as to make sure that we get all the shots that
we need, and don’t miss out anything important.
