Name   Description/Focus   Registered users   Launched  General. Owned by Fox Interactive Media.  Revenues and Profits not disclosed. According to comScore, MySpace has been overtaken by main competitor Facebook in April 2008, based on monthly unique visitors 253,000,000 2003 General. The free-access website is privately owned and operated . Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook while he was a student at Harvard University.  144,000,000 2004 Business. Mainly used for professional networking. As of December 2007, its site traffic was 3.2 million visitors per month, up 485% from the end of 2006. As of May 2008, it had more than 24 million registered users, spanning 150 industries.  30,000,000 2003 Business and Personal.  Micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. 5,000,000 2006
