2. Recent highlights
The images of the 9-11 attacks on
America will never fade from the minds
of most Americans. But for Maj. Gen.
Lynn Hartsell (far left) and his wife, Lt.
Col. Janet Jones-Hartsell (center), who
were stationed in the Pentagon at the
time of the attacks, the events changed
their lives forever, said the couple
during a presentation at the community.
Resident Gail Kristensen also shared
his memories from that day. Gail lived
near the Washington, D.C., area and
was presenting at a Federal Aviation
Administration workshop in a hotel
near the Pentagon on Sept. 11. Several
media outlets, including the Argus
Leader, covered the presentation.
A popular tradition returned! Residents and team members modeled outfits by Go Casual at the Fall Style
Show & Luncheon.

Tongue twisters! For an added
challenge, try memorizing and
saying the twister out loud.
Betty Botter had some butter.
“But,” she said, “this butter’s
bitter.”
If I bake this bitter
butter, it would make my batter
bitter.
But a bit of better butter—
that would make my batter
better.
So she bought a bit of butter,
better than her bitter butter,
and she baked it in her batter,
and the batter
was not bitter.
So ‘twas better Betty Botter
bought a bit of better butter.
