stunned to describe what it had been, so here’s an account of their unforgettable
Fijian encounter.
Day 1 – December 23, 2010
Good-bye Australia, Bula Fiji!
Everyone arrived and had ticked our names off; all seems really excited, looking
like a bunch of guys and gals who wanna have fun. Some of the participants
have been overseas before and there are first timers. The atmosphere is a buzz as
all can’t wait to get over to Fiji.

2. Day 2
The group had a good flight and the staffs on the airline are so awesome. Once in
the air, the chatting started among participants. The group met the guides on
arrival the other day Jerry and Arvin. After leaving the airport in Nadi the group
traveled to and stayed at Nomads Skylodge. It was so good to jump in the pool
and just ‘chillax’ with all. Later in the night they settled into a game that is
coming a bit of a first night game every year called “marfia,” which is a great
game to sort of get to know each other.
Day 3
The schoolies stayed at Volivoli for the day. After breakfast they went for a
snorkeling trip out on the reef. Everyone was having a really good time; heaps of
mad fun, watching some people ‘trying’ to snorkel, and endless picture taking.
After snorkeling trip, the group dropped into a small island and had a walk
round on the beach, relaxing on roof of a boat while getting their tan on.
Day 4
The group left Volivoli Resort after breakfast and drove to a remote village
“Wailotua Village,” where they had an opportunity to be involved in a
traditional kava ceremony led by the village chief and followed all the traditions
of the village. After the ceremony, the schoolies had a quick look in a massive
cave behind the chief’s house. Next, they went down to the river and went bilibili
rafting (some fell and some took someone with them in the waters). After lunch,
the schoolies went to a “lovo feast” hosted by street boys home. Great food!
Great entertainment! Great people! Great cause!

3. Day 5
After a fantastic night, the schoolies went for a rainforest treck and towards a
beautiful waterfall. Most people jumped off the waterfall or fell off! After
walking back down from the top waterfall to the bottom one they had some
lunch. And next, they went for a bit of a swamp trek.
Day 6
If you’ve never screamed of excitement before, then day 6 would be it. The group
went sand-boarding down the Sigatoka Sand Dunes. Everyone screamed and
scrambled to get back to the top to repeat the adrenalin pumping again and
again.
Leaving the dunes and just had a massive lunch, the group made way to an
orphanage and had privilege to visit the adorable children.
Day 7
After saying goodbye to the beautiful place, the group traveled to the airport. All
had nothing but praise and thanks to Uplift Tours and Travel for the jam-packed
