SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) was founded in the United States in 1975 and later expanded globally in 1995 with the formation of national organizations worldwide. SIFE began at the University of Missouri where Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart, attended. Sheridan College SIFE originated in 2001 and focuses on promoting growth and understanding through leadership, teamwork, ethics, economics, entrepreneurship and personal finance. Sheridan College SIFE contributed over 800 hours to community projects benefiting over 1440 members of the local county.
