1. Success, everyone wants it, few achieve it. Class of 2013, I believe we have the
right to call ourselves successful. We have come a long way since we were little
freshmen. We have also overcome many roadblocks such as an intense high school
workload, paying for our own gas, the infamous 2012 apocalypse, and of course,
“senior-itis”. But not all seniors get to wear the cap and gown. Only the ones who didn’t
quit, and didn’t give up, get to walk on stage today. To truly be successful, is to work for
your goal and never give up on it, and then finally achieve it.
Many people believe that success is being famous or wealthy. But to truly be
successful, is achieving foals that you make, for example, graduating from high school.
Also, to be successful is to work for your goal, not everything in life will be handed to
you. A personal goal of mine was to go to college, which I am, so I now consider myself
successful! What helped me to most was to set up goals throughout my high school
career, because if you don’t have goals, what are you shooting for?
There would be no point going through life without goals. If you don’t have a goal,
theres nothing in your life you can accomplish, therefore you can’t be successful. So if
you create a goal, go all the way with it. Now that we have graduated, we are now
stepping out into the real world. The world is full of opportunities, so go out there and
fulfill the goal you have been working on your entire life.
In the words of Christopher Morley, “There is only on success,...to be able to
spend your life in your own way.” This is a great quote because it is stressing that you
make your own goals, and live your life the way you want. Don’t let anyone tell you that
you can’t do something. But if they do, prove them wrong, be successful.
