17. I believe that schools as they exist today,
consist of many ill-designed systems,
structures and processes for educating
students and preparing them to be successful
in the world we live in.

18. Although we do not have control over much of
the decision making for our system, we can
strive to make progress and innovate from the
school level ways that will bring ripples of
reform for ourselves and others in the system.

19. We must innovate in order to be successful!
