                   incorrectly by mistake), or continue
                   without adding the dependent to his
                   or her coverage.

                       Quick Enroll Saves Time
                       Once dependent information is verified
                       and updated, the system can be set up
                       to allow a Quick Enroll of the
                       employee’s prior year’s benefits

                       On this screen, the associate can

                       employee wishes to continue for the
                       next plan year. New costs are also
                       calculated and shown on this screen.
                       Any benefits that are checked for Quick
                       Enroll will be automatically forwarded to

Examples of Built-In Reports
                               Core+ automatically includes a library of built-in
                               reports and file downloads that you can run at
                               any time.
                               This is an example of one of the built-in reports,
<                              which is a Benefits Summary. The user can            >
                               run statements individually by employee or in
                               batches for all employees depending on the
                               needs of the employer.
                               Statements are set up to fit perfectly in a No.10
                               window envelope with the name and home
                               address printed on the back side of the
                               statement and showing through the window
                               once it’s folded to size.

            Take a Look at the Big Picture
            Once all associates have synchronized their
            laptops with the central database, administrative
<           users have access to a wide variety of real-time      >
            reports. These reports let you see aggregate
            production to date, individual agent production,
            employees seen by location, completes/
            incompletes, enrollers who did not synchronize
            their data, enrollers who have low production, etc.
            By having access to this type of reporting, you
            can make any necessary adjustments early in the
            case to correct trouble spots, change staffing, or
            spot-train on specific issues.

  • 6. Introduction and System Overview Welcome Screen The welcome screen identifies the employee and agent by name. The system is designed to make the enrollment process fast and efficient < and the benefits content easy to > understand. Screens can be easily customized and branded for each employer by creating PowerPoint slides and converting the slides to Flash.

Employee Update Reviewing the Employee Record Once the introductory slides are finished, the system takes you directly into Step 1: Review Personal Info. < > If the system is preloaded with an employee census, you can verify employee contact information, including home address, telephone numbers, and e-mail. Which fields can be updated by the agent is determined and configured at the time of case setup.

Dependent Update Reviewing Dependent Information Here you can add, drop, or change dependent information on the < employee. > A bank of behind-the-scenes logic is at work applying the employer’s business rules as they relate to eligibility for core benefits. These include maximum age to cover a dependent child, full-time student status age, all required fields completed, only eligible dependents allowed to be added, etc.
  • 11. Dependent Update Example of Business Rule Applied In this example, the employee attempted to add a child with a birth < date of 10/15/81. The system > recognizes that the child is over the maximum age for coverage and alerts the employee. The employee can either go back and correct the age (if it was entered incorrectly by mistake), or continue without adding the dependent to his or her coverage.

Quick Enroll Feature Quick Enroll Saves Time Once dependent information is verified and updated, the system can be set up to allow a Quick Enroll of the employee’s prior year’s benefits < choices. > On this screen, the associate can check each core benefits plan that the employee wishes to continue for the next plan year. New costs are also calculated and shown on this screen. Any benefits that are checked for Quick Enroll will be automatically forwarded to the confirmation of elections screen at the end of the enrollment session.

Notice in the example shown here that the options for Employee + Children and Employee + Family are grayed out and cannot be selected. This is because the employee only has a spouse listed on the Dependents screen.

  • 17. Basic Group Term Life Group Term Life Screens Employer-paid benefits can also be included on the system. By < communicating the employer- > paid benefits, employees get a better idea of the full scope of their benefits package.
  • 18. Collecting Beneficiaries Store Beneficiary Information Electronically If requested by the employer, < the system can be set up to > collect beneficiary information for any of the core life and AD&D plans. Collecting beneficiaries can be set up as mandatory, optional, or not collected.

Voluntary Life Insurance Voluntary Life Insurance The system has a sophisticated Life and AD&D business rules < module that can be configured > to account for any combination of business rules that determine guaranteed-issue amounts and under what circumstances evidence of insurability is required before coverage is approved and new deductions are started.

Voluntary Life – Evidence of Insurability (EOI) When EOI Is Required When an employee requests coverage that requires evidence of insurability before coverage is approved, the system will < > notify the agent (and the employee) that an EOI form must be completed and submitted to the insurance company before coverage is effective.
  • 21. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) FSAs – Easy to Understand and Easy to Enroll Flexible spending accounts are < > explained in simple terms and by using tax savings examples.

The Data Bridge The data bridge between Core+ and carrier enrollment software allows employee and dependent census and enrollment data to flow in two directions eliminating the need to rekey employee or dependent information. This speeds up the enrollment process and also eliminates < > keystroke errors. Core+ Carrier Laptop Software Data flows in both directions between the Core enrollment system and carrier laptop software.
  • 23. Voluntary Plans Acknowledgment of Receipt If an employee is required to receive specific documents prior to signing < > the electronic application, the system can be set up to automatically present the required documents, which can be printed out on the spot and given to the employee.
  • 24. Sign and Submit Your Elections Benefit Summary Form Once all voluntary applications and other required documents are signed, the employee is < presented his or her Benefit > Summary form. This is usually the last form to be signed electronically by the employee that recaps all of his or her elections and new deductions starting at the beginning of the next plan year.
  • 25. Examples of Built-In Reports Core+ automatically includes a library of built-in reports and file downloads that you can run at any time. This is an example of one of the built-in reports, < which is a Benefits Summary. The user can > run statements individually by employee or in batches for all employees depending on the needs of the employer. Statements are set up to fit perfectly in a No.10 window envelope with the name and home address printed on the back side of the statement and showing through the window once it’s folded to size.

Online Reporting Take a Look at the Big Picture Once all associates have synchronized their laptops with the central database, administrative < users have access to a wide variety of real-time > reports. These reports let you see aggregate production to date, individual agent production, employees seen by location, completes/ incompletes, enrollers who did not synchronize their data, enrollers who have low production, etc. By having access to this type of reporting, you can make any necessary adjustments early in the case to correct trouble spots, change staffing, or spot-train on specific issues.
