  1. Sunflowers will follow the sun. A beautiful flower and the seeds make a great snack and oils for eating (high in vitamin E and low in saturated fat), frying foods and used in the manufacturing of cosmetics. They grow in 3 sizes: giant (over 10 ft.); regular (6 to 10 ft.), and miniature (2 to 4 ft.) Besides humans, birds, squirrels and rodents enjoy eating sunflower seeds. Seeds can be removed once flower has dried. Native Americans grind seeds to make breads and cakes.
