26. Break-through Potential
Students who eat breakfast:
↓ 1.5 less days absent
↑ 17.5% higher math scores
↑ 20% more likely to graduate
Breakfast = Student Achievement
Over 25,000 students in Durham not eating breakfast
27. Results
• Breakfast participation increased between 48 and 185%
at the five schools funded through the grant.
• Attendance at five schools increased 1.8%.
• Served additional 172,260 breakfast meals in 1 year.
• Served 112,756 breakfast and 146,411 lunch summer
meals using grant equipment.
