This document provides an overview of a training module on survey and design. The training introduces site surveys, including concepts, tools, procedures, and different types of surveys like site engineering surveys and site investigation surveys. It explains that site surveys are used in telecommunications to collect information and design engineering solutions to improve networks for customers. Trainees will learn about performing various types of surveys, analyzing survey results, and producing a technical site survey report. The schedule outlines discussions and activities over two days to cover these topics.
2. TRAINING TARGET
> In depth knowledge object and function of site survey.
> Understanding survey concept, flow and procedure
> Understanding basic survey as professional surveyor
> Can provide simple survey report.
3. OBJECTIVE
> What is site survey & design
> Survey concept, tools, flow & procedure
> Site engineering survey basic
> Site investigation survey basic
> Survey report
4. What is site survey & design
In Telecommunication industry, site survey and design is one of
important thing, to provide engineering solution that will deliver to be
implemented on network of customer. With the recent changes in
technology and the growing need to send even more and bigger
amounts of information wirelessly, the demand and concerns over
wireless telecommunication towers has also grown. As have the
regulations and ordinances now surrounding getting one approved. In
order to save time and money companies are best served by
thoroughly researching their options and making sure to have
reputable surveying companies perform the necessary surveys.
5. Survey Concept, Tools, Flow & Procedure
> Concept : the aim concept of survey is to take all information from
existing site or new site to provide solution and helpful network
customer more better.
> Tools : the basic tools used for site survey is camera, GPS, compass,
safety tools (safety belt, helmet, shoes, etc), ampere meter and more.
> Flow & Procedure: pre-survey >>preparation>>survey activity>>survey
analysis>>design and solution>>implementation
6. Site engineering survey basic
> Site engineering survey :
Site engineering survey is collecting information of engineering from
existing site to provide design and solution to be implemented in
network customer. And helpful network customer more better as
before.
The survey usually involved site visit to optimum getting information
from site. The object of engineering survey can define as the following,
a. Site specification
b. CME survey
c. Equipment survey
c. RF survey
7. Site investigation survey basic
What is different things between engineering survey and investigation
survey? in investigation site survey, we collecting information to build
new site and recommendation the best solution in network customer.
The main object of site investigation survey almost same with
engineering site survey, but in investigation site survey we consider to
location is in a populated area and focus on cell tower to be
constructed on vacant land. The following object of site investigation
survey ;
a. Site acquisition
b. Site specification
c. CME survey
d. RF survey
8. Survey report
> What is the result from site survey? The result of site survey called
TSSR (technical site survey report) which is contain detail site
information, site requirement, design & solution of engineering to be
implemented network customer.
