Introduction
What is Android?
• A software platform and operating system for mobile devices.
• As Smart phone OS, it is based on the Linux kernel.
• Android is Framework for developing mobile apps. Framework is
set of Interfaces and classes .Framework follow the structure.
• Allows writing managed code in the Java language.
• Android is an open-source platform founded in October 2003 by
Andy Rubin and backed by Google in November 2007.
• Developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance (OHA).
• Unveiling of the Android platform was announced on 5 November
2007(Android beta) with the founding of OHA.

browser is not present.

it becomes difficult to connect all the
users.
• As we call Android is world of
applications we continuously need to
connected with the internet which is
not possible for all the users.
• Android is now stepping up in next
level of mobile internet.
• Android Mobile sales have becomes
more then iPhone in two years.
• Google may launch another version of
android that starts L because Google is
launching all the android versions in
the alphabetical order.
• Android have become the widely used
operating system in world.

news…..!!!
The next major upgrade for Android, to
follow on from Android 4.4 is Android
5.0 & the name is “LEMON PIE”.
Google is thinking to release it in mid-
2014
It will be a free upgrade.
