PROJECT OF INTELLIGENT ELEVATION
concept of the project is the shell, whereby every building can become self-sufficient. the idea is to
combine traditional blinds and solar collectors. internal elevation is the form of modular glazing
composed of multilayered glass, heat-absorbing and magnetic panels. each layer is individually con-
trolled by a central control system. sensors collect the parameter information about the temper-
ature inside the building and send it to main computer, where the data is processed. thereby the system
knows where and when let more or less light. in addition, The building has recuperator and grund
heat exchanger. external elevation. The outer facade is a proposal of a spatial form, through which,
we obtain a positive context of of the proposed facility in relation to the environment. the brick

the work of Le Corbusier and Peter Zumthor inspired me to design two intersecting solids. First

COMPETITION “INTERNATIONAL VELUX AWARD 2014”
organizer: velux, kopenhagen, denmark
the theme: project of urban installation
group work: three students and academic teacher
“tree of connections” is the proposal of installation whose main purpose is to stimulate spaces
of urban squares and streets. concept has been shown on the example of old post-communist
alley in one of cracow's districts. The space is completely empty and extinct.
our tree is consists of a steel core and their “fruits”: cubical batteries simultaneously acting the
role of a solar collector and Illuminants. external layer of the cube is made of tempered glass
under which dye -sensitized solar cell panel is located, allowing tree to “photosynthesise” like a
real plant. the product of this process - the energy is stored in a lithium-ion battery. internal layer
of the cube is made of frosted glass to diffuse the light generated by a luminescent layer. neodymi-
um magnet allows to attach one detacheble cube to antoher creating dynamic, changeable form
of the tree. The cube includes a display, usb ports and power socket for electronic devices. the
whole process involves charging the batteries on the tree, bring them to home by people and using
this energy, re-adherence of them and charging.

22. Poland is a country with a rich history and culture. selecting for a semester project topic related to wine and tourism I had in mind the rich qualities of
lands near Krakow. In the village “Rudno” are located impressive ruins of a medieval castle once belonged to the town of Tenczyn. in the xvii and xviii century
near the castle was a vineyard. a convenient slope inclination in the south-west towards and the microclimate space helped in the production of wine. the
archetype of a village is a wooden house with a gable wall. So I suggested vineyards in conjunction with spa in the form which main theme is gable roof.

24. Developed project shows the house consists of two parts. Both zones
are separated from one another which favors the mutual use of the
usable space at the same time. On the ground floor there are classrooms
where students are completing knowledge of energy-efficient construc-
tion and real-time checking technology to work for central heating and
thermal collectors. On the first floor whereas persons visiting the
campus can get some sleep and rest. The form is wrapped reinforced con-
crete frame, which "mulched" the rest of the body and the interior of the
house. Its expression is in contrast with the selected materials which laid
sheet seam are particular importance in the concept. On the ground floor
are the rooms such as a computer room with kitchenette, laundry, tech-
nical room, cloakroom, conservatory and pattern studio. On the first
floor are bedrooms. The house is zoned in accordance with the guidelines
of designing energy-efficient homes and has a state of the technology in its
class.
On the basis of an agreement signed between the Technical University of
Cracow and the school team Licee Le Corbusier has been organized
student exchange, which resulted in numerous workshops and exchange
of experiences shared between both sides in Strasbourg and Cracow. The
task associated with a degree in engineering and student exchange was the
location. Taking advantage of the undeveloped land on campus has been
developed urban project including the energy-efficient homes which was
designed in guidelines from the last competition for the redevelopment of
the campus. The purpose of the assumption is to provide students of tech-
nical colleges place for work and leisure.
The campus is a school complex in oriented knowledge of the construc-
tion industry, computer graphics, architectural and urban design.
Currently, Licee Le Corbusier much attention is paid to energy-efficient build-
ings where students learn about new passive technologies. Our task was
to propose a new quarter of prototype energy-efficient houses.
24
25. Each outer partition has been designed to heat conductivity coefficient was
less or equal to U = 0,20W/m2K which conforms to the requirements of
regulations of the European Union. Thermal insulation in the building are
the airgel mats with an extremely low coefficient of heat transfer and
heat recovery technology based on facade thermal collectors. Thermal
bridges are offset by isothermal media.
The whole project is conceptually coherent in part of urban, architectur-
al and technical way. The development will be presented in the future to
didactic units of specialized schools at Licee Le Corbusier.
