The Global NGO Barometer 2015 interviewed 63,446 individuals around the world in 66 countries, across 8 regions.
Here are the key findings:
Globally, UNICEF is well known worldwide. Indeed, more than 9 out of 10 people stated that they knew to some extent the organization, either by declaring they have a good opinion of it, a bad opinion of it or that they don’t know it well enough to have an opinion.
With 96% of its population knowing the organization, EU Europe is the region in which UNICEF’s awareness score is the highest.
Among the people aware of UNICEF’s existence throughout the world, 67% have a good opinion of it
EU Europe is the region which appreciates UNICEF the most, as 72% of its population declared having a good opinion of the organization.
At 56% of the global population, the willingness to make a monetary contribution to UNICEF is one of the highest compared to the other surveyed organizations.
East Asia & Oceania is the region which is the most willing to donate to UNICEF (64%). Eastern Europe is, on the other hand, the region the less willing to donate (30%).
