4. I. The Nature of the Battle- Spiritual Warfare/Fighters a). Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end (kjv) b). 1Cor. 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast , unmovable , always abounding in the work of the Lord , forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord . 5. II. The Nature of the Soldiers of the Lord a). Good Soldier - Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (II Tim. 2:3) b). Endures Hardness - no matter how hot or tough the battle may become we continue to persevere (Hebrews 12:2,3). c). Does not become entangled - no matter how busy we are with the affairs of this life, we must always be ready for duty (Titus 2:14; 3:1,14). d). The Armour of the good soldiers ( Ephesians 6:13-18) Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God , that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth , and having on the breastplate of righteousness ; Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace ; Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith , wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation , and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God : Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (kjv) Pas.
