Before we update it’s worth revisiting the rationale behind introducing the Transferable Skills Framework.Improving DLHE ReturnsRankings employment indicators measure the percentage of unemployed graduates and, of those that are working, those in professional/managerial level positions. The Sunday Times ranking, for example, has recently doubled the weighting attributed to the employability indicator therefore significantly increasing the importance of this aspects of an institution’s performance.- Academic departments offer an effective and invaluable opportunity to engage the majority of the student population.
