Hello, I’m Desmond... From team Heatseekers.... \n
How many of you been in this situation? \nNormally you might...\n
We know this is incredibly inefficient. It cost ton of money and it has huge environmental impact. \n
Its hard to know who to talk in our urban in-door environments to get things fixed \n- shout out %\n
Since we cant get it fix, we run away from the problem. smokes, coffees, warmer areas\n
And its making us sick. \n- shout out %\n
This is how it works. User input. Mobile-Web application\nSlider to indicate their feelings on the temperature\n\nThe device provides GPS coordicates which are tied in with the Onemap API to generate an address.\nThe location input is editable if the user feels like the API result is inaccurate\n\n\n\n
This is what we get out of it. \nThis data is collated in a central database where it can then be used for data analysis.\n
- Crowdsourced data from our users is collected by us, \n- We aggregated and packaged the data into “Comfort Profiles” for government and property owners.\n- This property owners and government agencies can use this data to Investigate and Act on our comfort profiles. \n\n
Who’s involved? \n- Government who wants to push their climate policy and become more eco friendly cities. \n- Building owners can increase their social credit and charge higher rents. \n - Tenants save money on their heating cost.\n- Occupants have more comfortable environment. \n\n
The challenges we face are\n- Getting people to use the app to get data volume\n- Getting building managers to act on it\n
- Naming and Shaming by publishing “Internal Weather Reports”\n- Involving Corporate champions and heros\n- Publicize our efforts through Eco interest sites\n
