New South Wales could be able to call on experienced hooker Robbie Farah for Origin II after his
club assessed his shoulder injury.
Farah was injured in a 28th-minute tackle from Justin Hodges in New South Wales' 11-10 loss to
Queensland at Sydney's Olympic stadium on Wednesday night.
The Queensland centre picked Farah up and slammed him down on his shoulder. No penalty was
awarded for the tackle.
On Thursday, Wests Tigers released a statement on the club website regarding Farah's injury.
"Farah has sustained a Grade 3 AC joint injury in his left shoulder, and is expected to miss Wests
Tigers' round 13 clash against the Gold Coast Titans at Leichhardt Oval," the club said.
"However, the club is hopeful Farah will be available for selection for Game II of the 2015 State of
Origin series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Wednesday, June 17, with the injury only expected
to sideline the 31-year-old hooker for two to four weeks.
The Tigers also confirmed that forward Aaron Woods had no injuries from game one, and would line
up for Wests against the Titans on Friday night.
The only player charged as a result of Origin I was Blues interchange player Trent Merrin, who was
charged with a lifting tackle on Maroons five-eighth Johnathan Thurston, but the St George Illawarra
forward can avoid suspension with an early plea.
