It will include two unaired chapters and a new 90-minute documentary. Stone discusses engaging with viewers and receiving feedback on the documentary. He notes this will be his last big project for a while. Stone also announces screenings and a theatrical rerelease of his film "JFK" in November around the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination.

This is important to me. Those of you
who’ve seen it know how much.
Finally coming out on October 15, is the 12-hour
version of ―Untold History of the United States‖
on Blu-ray for as low as $35 and on digital
download for $18.99 SD and $28.99 HD
(Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu—individual
episodes $2.99 HD).
The Blu-ray will have 2 unaired chapters called
Prologue A&B, covering the beginnings of
Empire in the U.S. through World War I, the
Russian Revolution, and the crucial interregnum
between the Wars.
The Blu-ray will also feature a new 90-minute
documentary I did with Tariq Ali, ―A Conversation
with History.‖
It‘s been very interesting reading the comments
from many of you; they‘ve led to some surprising
new ideas, and at times, corrections in my
perception. It‘s been a pleasure engaging in this
back and forth. I particularly enjoy presenting
you ―Untold History.‖
This will be my last big one for a while.

I told you that ―Untold History‖ was the big
announcement, but I have to add that it flows
directly into November and the 50th Anniversary
commemoration of the 1963 assassination of John
F. Kennedy. Warner Brothers will be rereleasing
―JFK‖ theatrically in New York, Los Angeles, and
Washington D.C the week of 11/6–11/14… And
select screenings nationally at some 250+
Cinemark, Regal, and AMC theaters on 11/17 and
11/20.
Warner Bros is also re-releasing ―JFK‖ on Blu-ray
in a new box set on 11/12. Included is something
that I think makes a difference—Chapter 6 of
―Untold History.‖ This chapter doesn‘t deal with the
assassination per se, but certainly with the big
picture—and why Kennedy was probably killed and
Khrushchev removed from office shortly after their
rapprochement and peacekeeping endeavors to
end the Cold War.

San Sebastian is one of the best ‗street‘
fests, lots of energy and populist love for
cinema. It‘s also important to introduce the
series to the Hispanic world.
Spain gets a big black eye for
Franco/Eisenhower relationship and Aznar

America an ugly topic for American
interventions… ―Untold History‖ is going out
via DirecTV there—only Brazil and Mexico
left to sell.
Screened all 12 hours of ―Untold History." Six
2-hour screenings with small steady crowds
and interesting Q&As. Goes on Spanish TVE

|OCTOBER 15th: Today‘s my big day. ―The Untold History of the United States,‖ 5
years old and 12 hours big, is born to Amazon, Costco, Target, Walmart, and many other
mothers. |
|I‘m done. I appreciate the minds open enough to watch it. Many critics didn‘t bother
to look at the whole thing—which makes this exercise rather difficult, but necessary. I see this
long term—patience required. But those who take the view that this is conspiracy-oriented,
personalized history, please look again… Even in the JFK chapter there is no debate over
assassination. The truly big picture is what counts. And whether he was assassinated or not by
a conspiracy, we must admit there was a significant shift in the direction the United States took
under Lyndon Johnson, and that is what counts. |
|And those who think Peter Kuznick and I soft on Stalin or Soviets, do take another
look at chapter 4—and now prologue B. Perhaps if this prologue chapter had been there in the
first place, we would've been subjected to less calumny from those who called us Soviet
propagandists. That‘s an easy way to dismiss something that needs significant revision. Peter
and I are not making this up. We‘re following in the tradition of a very serious school of
American historical revisionist writing on the Cold War: Walter LaFeber, William Appleman

He could no longer be trusted with the ship of
