3. Different types of
E.Communication
Cellular Phone
The cellular phone is most convenient
developments of the late 20th
century.
It is probably the most important
telecommunication break-through in recent times.

Cellular phones give all the benefits of an ordinary fixed
phone, but with extra flexibility, mobility, security and
whole range of new services, with cellular phone, one can
call anywhere and can be reached from any telephone in the
world.
The cellular telephone network is divided into cells, each
one controlled by a radio base station
5. Pager....
A pager:- is a small telecommunications device
that receives (and, in some cases, transmits)
alert signals and/or short messages. This type of
device is convenient for people expecting
telephone calls, but who are not near a
telephone set to make or return calls
immediately.
Fax:-An image of a document made by
electronic scanning and transmitted as data by
telecommunication links.

This is similar to private messaging through social
networking, but is certainly more formal.
They can be forwarded and sent to as many contacts
that you wish.
The message is typed on a computer screen at one
end, and is conveyed to the other end through electric
impulses.

receiving end is alerted by a signal that a message
or mail, inevitable for him is in the electronic
mailbox or he can frequently see his mailbox to
check for any incoming mail

It is the quickest means of transmitting messages.
It saves you from telephone tags.
E-mail messages are supposed to be highly secure and secret.
E-mail can be sent to a large number of people simultaneously.
10. FAX (Facsimile or duplicate, reproduce
Telegraphy) - Facsimile telegraphy deals with the
transmission of typewritten or handwritten
message drawings graphics
pictures or any matter which cannot be sent through
telegraphs , telephones or teleprinters.
Connections can be made over very long distances
using the public telephone networks or radio links.

text messaging. They are short and a good way to
communicate short bits of information that can be
received and replied at their own leisure(free

of them at all times.
14. Video conferencing - This gives greater information by
the fact that both parties can see each other. Physical
contact is missing but Estate Agents are still able to see
body language and facial expressions. Used less often,
but perfect for staff meetings in different geographical
locations.
Face to Face - The greatest type of communication face
to face. The physical contact provides both parties with
information that they wouldn't have previously known
and let's people give a much better sense of each

parties to hear the tone and emotions and is
possibly the most used communication tool with
Estate Agents.

room, but new technology provides a facility for
discussion with a group of persons on the internet.
You can conduct a meeting, hold a group
discussion or brief people spread across the
country or around the World.
You can talk to a number of experts through
computers using group decision support systems
for their views before making a decision or for
finalizing a plan of action.

computers linked together by telephone lines,

Internet is a network of computers worldwide
which allows its users to share information.
Apart from the E-mail service of the internet, with
which most people are familiar, the World Wide
Web (WWW) is the latest vehicle of business now
available on the internet.

internet as powerful yet inexpensive way to
promote their companies, products and services.
When an organization links to the internet, people
can reach it anytime of day or night.

A laptop is a mobile computer. When they were first
introduced, they were little better than
glorified(overestimated) calculators. Today's high-end
machines have the same functionality as desktop
computers, including Internet access that permits the
use of various communications tools such as instant
messaging, email and video conferencing. Popular
models are manufactured by Dell, Apple, Gateway
and Toshiba
23. Twitter is a popular social networking site created in
2008. While the concept is not unlike similar social
sites such as MySpace and Facebook, Twitter is
unique in that users can write (or "tweet") messages
from either their computer or cell phone in short,
concise updates, as often as they please. The concept
of Twitter revolves around the idea that people can
stay updated on the events of others' lives without
spending a lot of time.
24. Paging started a bit late in India. In India, paging
and cellular services started almost at the same
time.
Paging is the quickest way to communicate today.
Paging is a one-way wireless communication
facility by which one can stay in touch with
anyone - clients, office or family, when one is on
the move.
25. If someone needs to contact a subscriber urgently,
all that he has to do is pick up the phone and dial
the pager number of the subscriber to leave a
message. The message is immediately transmitted
to the subscriber on his pager, wherever he is.

information he needs.

Hoardings &Billboards are large structures
located in public places,on main roads with a
large amount of passing motor and traffic.
Newspaper& magazines : these communication
which is very useful to send information about
the product. Inviting the tenders, for recruitment
information and other public notices and
advertisement.
27. Radio is media of mass oral communication.
the radio is very useful for advertisements also to
give information about product,projects,programs
etc….
Film it is very powerful media of
communication.
In film also we can get information messages
about product both audio-visual medium which
combined all possible forms written,oral,visual.
