Veterans are not always old men that had fought in a war. In 2012, veterans mean children, women, wives, and husbands trying to keep our country safe. When they are done fighting, it is a whole new life for them.

2. Veterans are not always old men that had
fought in a war.
In 2012, veterans mean children, women,
wives, and husbands trying to keep our
country safe.
When they are done fighting, it is a whole
new life for them.

3. They had fought in a country for a long time
and are used to being hunted down.
Veterans are scared and hurt and need to
continue a normal life, a normal life for all
which is a job and a family.
They are one of the biggest unemployed
groups of America. Why do such brave men
and women need a hard time to get back to
normal?

4. Veterans deal with serious physical and
mental pain.
Organizations can help the veterans. Other
veterans would be there to help everyone
deal with every kind of pain.
They are not homeless heroes; they are
deserving people that ask for little. Give any
kind of veteran a home.

5. Open your heart and you can help a hero.
Donate to the veteran shelters in celebration
of any day.
What is a veteran? It does not always include
warfare.
Every person is a veteran of something.

6. A veteran is someone who has survived
something. What have you survived? The list
can be endless.
Think of your family and friends, you are
common veterans. Not all veterans have their
knit circle of friends. Being in a shelter can
rehabilitate them and make them stronger.

7. So they can be another veteran and pass on
their strength. No one should be left outside.
Americans care for everyone, on their street,
in their city.
Donate your time to a veteran shelter and
learn their stories. Share your stories with them.
They are like grandparents, people who love
to share experience and love.

8. Don't let anyone else die of anything.
Wounded soldiers that are gasping on the
battlefield or a veteran trying to find a job,
having someone else that seems stronger
take the job and not care.
Help a veteran anytime; donate time or skill to
shelters. Google 'veteran shelter' and scroll
down the list.

9. These places are put there to spread the
word of an open door. They are willing to take
any veteran.
They must stay open to continue the tradition
of taking care of soldiers. Open your door and
see how many come. The signs aren't always
there; there may be a shadow that is in need
of help.

10. Veterans can include anyone and any
person.
Many souls fight for our country, two days are
dedicated to every branch and soldier.
Spread out the days into 363 more days and
everyone would find peace.

11. Veterans tell tales of mighty courage and
compassion, anyone has that kind of story.
Widen the range ever more so that every
human can hear these stories.
Please donate to a veteran cause. Need not
to be money but love or time.

12. I will help any veteran I see. I don't need to
see the face or courageous medals, I need to
see the heart. There in every one, is a veteran.
Green Collar Vets aim at helping veterans get
a decent green career as well as transition
into the civilian world. Share and donate to us
