UQ MATRIX DISSOLVE THE BOX REPOSITION INNOVATION THOUGHT DESIGN LEADERSHIP FREEDOM MOTIVATION THINKING OUT OF THE BOX CARRIER DEVELOPMENT A Presentation by: A SNEAK PREVIEW WORK-LIFE BALANCE INDUSTRY READYNESS COPING MECHANISMS COMPETITION GEN X PROFESSIONALS
The Way Forward 4 3 2 1 Introduction ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],The need for “ Dissolving the box ” The edge that UQ Matrix gives over planning
1 2 3 4 Thinking out of the box is not enough . . . “ Dissolve the box and REPOSITION” to lead the hot, crowded and dynamic flat world. The New Mantra
Our study reveals the following traps infecting students: ,[object Object],Industry expectations, business targets and promotional processes dampens our spirit. We fail to adjust to the new environment which gives more importance to team work than individual performance. Majority of us run for a placement without really understanding ourselves and our purpose . High on dreams and ideas but low on on practical execution. 1 2 3 4
Our study reveals the following major problems infecting people in the industry later: ,[object Object],We fail to design thoughts or solutions , therefore we miss on innovation . We have limited vision and insight therefore we fail to lead . We are usually de-motivated , unhappy and resist change . We are mostly fragile — We fail to bounce back from personal and professional lows. 1 2 3 4
[object Object],[object Object],The Mother of all Our Problems 1 2 3 4
We must reclaim ourselves and respond by ‘dissolving the box’ (DTB) . Now the mind is not blown out of proportion. It serves and does not lead. This state is natural , intelligent and compatible with us. At times we do think ‘out of the box’ (OTB) . Therefore, we usually respond ‘from the box’( FTB) and remain a puppet of the situation. We misunderstand all our compulsions to be natural. But that’s not good enough as the boxes still remain. It only leads to incremental change as deeper boxes continue to infect. 1 2 3 4
When a thief starts thinking out of the box he becomes only a better thief and manipulates the law better. He still fails to come out of the deeper and finer boxes which are more relevant. But when he dissolves the box he first sheds his mental image of being a thief . He realises he is not a crook. Theft is only his habit or addiction and he is much more than that. He then, gets the designing intelligence to REPOSITION himself. It’s a radical or a structural change. This is the beginning of real leadership . Let’s understand the difference better - Story of a Thief
The boxes and traps of individuals ultimately translate into organizational bottlenecks . They prevent organizations from having a fertile organizational culture, restricts fluidity and curbs change as the designing intelligence is absent. 1 2 3 4 Need for “Dissolving the Box” Individuals are the basic unit of any organization. And thought is the basic unit of response for a person. If the thought of the individual is limited , infected and unintelligent , it infects and affects the organization adversely.
[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],increasing our level of consciousness This is done by practicing silence-acceptance of the present. 1 2 3 4 Application of “Dissolving the Box”
Dan Burrier ( Chief Innovation Officer at Ogilvy & Mather, North America ) has quoted the idea “Dissolve the box” and has appreciated it.   Mr. Vijay Iyer ( Senior Partner with Ernst & Young ) has found the idea “relevant and significant” in overcoming the immediate problem that was bothering him and his team.   Mr. Arvind Jadhav ( Chief Managing Director at Air India ) found the “concept and theme quite innovative”. Endorsement by Industry Leaders 1 2 3 4
1 2 3 4 How to “Dissolve the Box” NEXT WHAT’S IN — THE BOOK TRAINING & CONSULTANCY The idea “Dissolve the box and REPOSITION” has been dealt in detail with real life examples in the book “ Next What’s In ” written by Santosh Sharma . You may wish to visit www.nextwhatsin.com . We at CAS provide training and consultancy for individuals and organizations. For details please visit www.conscious.co.in . Avail it.
This is the most intelligent guide to decision making. A small little adjustment gives us the Universal leap. We can now de-pollute all our decisions. It’s time to RECLAIM and REPOSITION ourselves. It enables us to have a deeper, wider and faster insight or vision. We have a clear understanding of the implications of the present in the future. Now we incorporate and become congruent to the seven Universal Laws that manage the entire Universe. All our decisions get the Universe support unlike before. Move on from Planning to the UQ Matrix 1 2 3 4 The UQ Matrix is a tool for thought designing and decision making in the short, medium and long term.
