7. Recently, a research group from MIT's Media Lab has leveraged commercially available technology to transmit holographic video over the internet. What's truly remarkable is that the group's hardware setup consists of a single Xbox 360 Kinect camera and a standard laptop on the transmitting end, and a desktop computer with three graphics processing chips on the receiving end—all relatively inexpensive, store-bought technology. The display used to project the hologram, however, is "the one component of the researchers' experimental system that can't be bought at an electronics store for a couple hundred dollars." The group says it's working on "a new display system that is much more compact, produces larger images, and should also be cheaper to manufacture," according to MIT News. What have they created using the above mentioned technology? 2)

13. The X Vs Y game was a first-class cricket match that was generally played on an annual basis. The first two games took place in 1806 but the fixture was not revived until 1819. It was more or less annual thereafter till 1962 and there were usually two or more games each season. After 1962, the concept of X was abolished and the fixture came to an end. The fixture was a prestigious one, though far short of Test match quality. The X teams were often very weak compared with the Y. The X famously became competitive during the career of the legendary WG Grace , whose performances were so outstanding that the X could enjoy some long-awaited success. The game was played over three days on all but a handful of occasions throughout its history. The most common venue for the match was Lord's , but a number of other grounds were used, notably The Oval and Scarborough . In all 274 matches have been played. The X have won 68, Y have won 125, 80 matches have been drawn and one match (the first one of 1883) ended in a tie. Fred Trueman's view of the fixture was that it was a "ludicrous business" that was "thankfully abolished" after the 1962 season. 4) X Vs Y…

44. Y was a king in ancient India. He was a valiant warrior and the great-grandson of a great king named Kusha. On one of his exploits, he and his soldiers took rest in the ashram of Rishi Vasishta. There, his whole army was well fed and taken care of. This caused a doubt in the king's mind as to how it was possible for this simple ashram to take care of all the arrangements to feed an entire army. He expressed his surprise to the sage. Vasishta replied, "O king, this feast that you have partaken with your kinsmen, has been provided by my calf Nandini , who was gifted to me by Indra. You must know that she is the daughter of Indra's cow Kamadhenu. She provides me with everything I need.“ Y was filled with wonder when he heard this. He felt that the sage did not need a calf that could feed an army and asked Vasishta to give him the calf. Vasishta was polite, but steadfast in his refusal. The king grew exceedingly angry. He insulted the Brahmarishi with harsh words, and ordered his soldiers to seize the cow, and drive it to his kingdom. By his yogic powers, the great sage Vasishta, called forth an entire army of fierce warriors. They fought the army of Y and defeated it thoroughly. Y was captured and presented before Vasishta. 45. Y seeks to attain the same spiritual power as Vasishta, to become his equal, a brahmarishi. He undertakes a fierce penance for one thousand years, after which Brahma names him a Rajarishi, or royal sage. After many more thousands of years of penance, Brahma names him maharishi, but also tells him that he hasn't become a jitendriya yet, lacking control over his passions. This is brought to light to Y when he angrily curses Rambha, an apsara sent by Indra to seduce Y, to become a stone for a thousand years. After cursing Rambha, Y goes to the highest mountain of the Himalayas to perform an even more severe tapasya for over a thousand years. He ceases to eat, and reduces his breathing to a bare minimum. He is tested again by Indra, who comes as a poor Brahmin begging for food just as Y is ready to break a fast of many years by eating some rice. Y instantly gives his food away to Indra and resumes his meditation. Y also finally masters his passions, refusing to be provoked by any of Indra's testing and seductive interferences. At the penultimate culmination of a multi-thousand year journey, Y's yogic power is at a peak. At this point, Lord Brahma, at the head of the Devas led by Indra, names Y a brahmarishi, and names him X, or ‘Friend of All’ for his unlimited compassion. He is also embraced by Vasishta, and their enmity is instantly ended. X?

A trench coat was frequently part of the costume, a notable example being Humphrey Bogart's character in Casablanca . The X is also closely associated with film noir characters . Frank Sinatra was also a wearer of the X. By the early 1970s, the X was seen as a dead fashion. However the X has seen a revival in recent fashion seasons.
