Call the board Line and use tricks like
you are calling from the bank and you need to
speak to him about a loan
Calling to invite him for a seminar
You are a family member and you want to
speak to him urgently
An agitated customer
Calling late evening when the receptionist has
left and taking his extension
 Calling from Management association
 Calling from vendor or supplier company
 Calling from market research company
 Once the receptionist is convinced and your
call is transferred to the candidate
 Be confident when you open the call
 Make sure your script is right
 Ask the candidate whether it is the right
time to talk
 Then introduce yourself that you are calling
from a staffing company and would like to
speak to him about a job opportunity
 Describe the job in detail and send a email
with the job description and other company
details
 Sometimes the CVs may not reflect the
responsibilities of the profile. If the
candidate fits the position ,educate him and
make sure he adds them on his CV
 You need to do your homework properly
before talking to the candidate. you need to
sell the company by talking about the
positives of the company, its management,
perks ,what would be his benefit by joining
the company you need to create his interest
in the company
 Doing a proper scan of the organisation, its
division , departments
 Finding the different people working in the
Organisation their designation, salary
structure, whom they report to and the no of
people reporting to them , their names and
designation
 You can also get leads from job portals
 You can call a person from the same
company and get References from him
 You can call a junior person and take leads
like whom he reports to ,the people in his
department ,the people who report to him
,where the current team has joined from
 Use fax lines for headhunting as phonelines
can be checked from caller id
 Go through websites of top orgnisations as
you may need names of top guys
 Keep in touch with people from existing
database by sending them a card or email on
their birthday
 Confidence
 Good communication
 Good networking skills
 Searching in Internet
 Good knowledge
 Perseverance
 Integrity
