This document provides the rules and questions for an India quiz session held on January 30th 2018 by Vishal Sharma at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. It contains 23 multiple choice questions testing knowledge about Indian politics, history, culture and more. The questions are across various categories like #Politics, #World, #History and more. Participants can earn +10 points for a direct correct answer or -5 points for an incorrect "pounce" answer. The quiz master's decision is final.

• In February 2014, Sushma Swaraj had gotten into
a Twitter war with X who, at that time, was the
party spokesperson of BJP. The duo slugged it out
regarding the strategy the BJP had adopted in
Parliament on the creation of Telangana. X shared
someone’s Twitter post that took jibe at Swaraj.
As her tweet went viral, she tried to water it
down. However, the war intensified when
Sushma retweeted a post that hit back at X.

• Ri Chun-hee is the most famous news anchor of
North Korea, appearing nearly every time the
country takes a step towards fulfilling its nuclear
ambitions, delivering the state’s proclamations in

74-year-old is known as “the people’s
broadcaster” and “voice of North Korea”. She
typically wears a hanbok, traditional Korean
attire, of course, in her trademark color.

• When reminded of his bitter experience with X’s
producer Gaurang Doshi, Vipul Shah dismisses
the issue, “we never cross certain ethical limits.
Cinema has its own rhythms and ethical patterns.
Even the decision to have two endings in X, one
for the overseas market and one for India, was
entirely mine. The decision to have a moralistic
ending in India was dictated by the more
conservative demands of the native populace.”
Shah is apologetic about X, adapted from the
Gujarati play Andhalo Pato, not doing too well

• A legend based on oral traditions holds that the
city was known in ancient times as Lavapuri (City
of Lava) and was founded by Prince Lava, the son
of Sita and Rama while Kasur was founded by his
twin brother Prince Kusha.

written anonymously in 982. It is called Hudud-i-
Alam (The Regions of the World). In this
document, X is referred to as a small shehr (city)
with "impressive temples, large markets and huge
orchards." It was called by different names
throughout history.

strong Dalit base, Kanshiram had coined a

Education. The school has also received the 'Hope
of Humanity' Award from spiritual leader, Dalai
Lama.

were present during key events in American
history like the Civil War battles. Historians call

Rajput Riyasat by birth. Mariam-uz-Zamani was the

• Telangana MLA Shankar Rao installed a white marble
statue of Goddess X as “Telangana Talli(Mother
Goddess of Telangana)” at X Shanti Vanam in Maliwal
town to express their gratitude for creating Telangana
state. The idol is sculpted in a style similar to Hindu
goddess idols in south India - complete in silk sari, gold
jewelry and crown, carrying a lotus in one hand with a
beatific smile.

• American folklorist Jan Brunwand noted that X
has been the subject of jokes and legends since
the 1920s, when it entered the urban culture.
These legends reflect modern anxieties and
desires, emphasizing embarrassment and
accidents, primarily involving the men's trousers
in stories such as The ____ Stranger. An early
device superficially similar to X was patented in
US by Elias Howe in 1851 but that was more like
an elaborate drawstring. The true X was the
product of a series of incremental improvements
over more than 20 years by inventors and
engineers. This process began with a version
invented by W. Judson of Chicago.

• X, an age old thrilling game of chase, originated
from the different strategy & tactics of
Kurukshetra war, is one of the oldest forms of
outdoor sports ,dating back to prehistoric times .
The chariot fighting during the war and zigzag
pathways followed by the retreating soldiers
indicate the formation of chain play- defense skill
in the game. A modified version of X was played
on chariots in Maharashtra which was known as
Rathera. One team from Pune exhibited the
salient features of the game at Berlin Olympics in
1936.
