Agli inizi di febbraio è stato annunciato il rilascio di vSphere 6,
disponibile al pubblico da marzo 2015
La nuova versione introduce miglioramenti a livello di hypervisor, virtual
machine, vcenter server, virtual storage and virtual networking.
Sono stati allineati e aggiornati anche altri prodotti vmware quali :

Nella nuova versione si è lavorato per evitare che una VM
protetta da SRM possa essere spostata via SDRS su un
datastore non replicato, questo può avvenire solo con
conferma esplicita dell’amministratore
