2. Boxing day It is celebrated on the follwing day after Christmas day, wich is 26 December. It`s public holliday, this means it is non working day in whole of Britan. Traditionally , 26 december was the day to open the Christmas Box to share the contents with the poor. Boxing Day is celebrated in Australia, Britain, New Zealand, and Canada.
3. History on Boxing day Christmas boxes where used different ways: To protect ships-when grate sailing ships were setting off to discover new land, a Christmas box where used as a good luck device. To help the poor-the alms box was placed in every church on Christmas day, into witch worshippers placed a gift for the poor of the parish and it was open afther the Christmas day, witch is way that day become know as Boxing day.
4. History on Boxing day A present for the workers-Many poorly paid workers were required to work on Christmas day , witch is why that day became know as Boxing day. And the tradition still continues today....... Schools across the country gather together gifts to be put on Christmas boxes that are sent to poorer countries.
5. Boxing Day Hunts Traditionally Boxing day is for a fox hunt. Horse riders dresses in red and white riding gear and the dogs are with them. Eventually the hunters hope the fox will be so tired that the dogs will be able to catch it and kill it. In November 2004, MP-s voted to ban hunting with dogs in Ingland and Wales.As from 18 February 2005 hunting with dogs became a criminal offance.
6. Family Time Traditionally, Boxing day is the day when families get together. It is a day sports and playing board games with the family. Many families will go on walks in the countryside together on boxing day.
