3. A loud blast will be heard which will be made
by angel Israfil
Every living thing in the universe will die except a
chosen few. The earth will become still with no signs
of life
When the sun turns dark, when the stars fall down,
when the mountains are set moving, when the
pregnant camels are neglected, when the wild beasts
are brought together, when the seas are set on fire.
- Surah at-Takwir, 81:1-6
5. Events on the day of Hashr- The opening of the book of deeds
The book of deeds, written by the two
angels- Raqib and Atid will be opened.
We will be taken back in time and all
our actions both good and bad will be
shown
6. Imam Ja'far as Sadiq (A) said:
“On the Day of Judgement, a man will be given his book of deeds,
to read, then Allah will make him remember his actions. There
will be not a single look, or a single word, or a single step, or
anything which he had done but that he will remember as though
he had done it that very moment.
7. Events on the day of Hashr-The accounting of deeds
On the Day when Allah will resurrect them all together (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and
inform them of what they did. Allah has kept account of it, while they have forgotten it.
And Allah is Witness over all things. 58:6
And Allah will finalize the accounts of all- from ancient nations to the last ones - in
half an hour according to the timing of this world.
And Allah will put forth for every person a book which he will find open, which will
describe all his actions; it will not leave any small or big thing without fully exposing
it; and Allah will be the only scrutinizer and judge
8. Success if you are given your book in the right hand
Those whose good deeds exceed the bad will be given their scroll in their right hands: those
whose bad deeds outweigh their good deeds will receive it in their left hands.
Quran 84:7-9
11. What if our deeds are light on the weighing
scale?
Bad deeds
Good
deeds
WHAT HAPPENS IF OUR GOOD DEEDS ARE LIGHT? EG. PRAYING JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE TO
AND NOT OUT OF LOVE OF ALLAH, MISSING OUT ON OPPORTUNITIES TO DO GOOD, NOT
RECITING QURAN, NOT MAKING ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT OUR DEEDS (MUHASSABAH)
12. Sending Salawat upon Rasulallah and his family is the most weighty
deed on the scale of deeds.
"For increasing the measure of good deeds in the scales, no
other deed carries weight than sending Salawat on
Rasulallah (saw) and His family .
Rasullah (saw) says, that on the day of when the deeds shall be weighed, I will be
present there. If a person’s bad deeds will be weighing more than his good ones, I
will bring along the salawat which he sent upon me and my family, and add it to
the good deeds thereby increasing its weight.
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa Ali Muhammad”
“O Allah! Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad”
On the night of Meraj, Rasulallah saw an angel with many hands. When he asked who he
was, Jibrael replied that the Angel had been appointed by Allah to count the drops of rain,
so that it may be known as to how many drops have fallen down to the earth. Rasulallah
turned towards the Angel and asked him if he knew how many rain drops have fallen.
The angel replied. “O Prophet of Allah I know the total amount of rain-drops fallen on the
earth till now, but I am overwhelmed on counting the blessings that Allah sne when the
people of your Ummah gather and send Salawat on you
13. Rewards of reciting Salawat
The heaviest thing to be placed on the scales on the day of
resurrection is the invocation of blessings on Muhammad and his
household (as) Imam Baqir (as) and Imam Al sadiq (as)
